The Danites sent out from their whole tribe five representatives, capable men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and explore it. They said to them,“ Go, explore the land.” They came to the Ephraimite hill country and spent the night at Micah’s house.

So the Danites sent five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol to spy out the land and explore it. These men represented all the Danites. They told them,“ Go, explore the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim and came to the house of Micah, where they spent the night.

So the people of Dan sent out five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol. They told the men to look over the land and check it out. Those men did it for all the people of Dan. Those people told the men,“ Go. Check out the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim. They went to the house of Micah. That’s where they spent the night.

So the men of Dan chose from their clans five capable warriors from the towns of Zorah and Eshtaol to scout out a land for them to settle in. When these warriors arrived in the hill country of Ephraim, they came to Micah’s house and spent the night there.

So the Danites sent out five brave men from all their clans, from Zorah and Eshtaol, to scout out the land and explore it. They told them,“ Go and explore the land.” They came to the hill country of Ephraim as far as the home of Micah and spent the night there.

So the sons of Dan sent from their family five men out of their whole number, valiant men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to explore it; and they said to them,“ Go, explore the land.” And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and stayed overnight there.

So the children of Dan sent five men of their family from their territory, men of valor from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and search it. They said to them,“ Go, search the land.” So they went to the mountains of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.

The LORD’s spirit began to control him in Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

Joshua son of Nun sent two spies out from Shittim secretly and instructed them:“ Find out what you can about the land, especially Jericho.” They stopped at the house of a prostitute named Rahab and spent the night there.

So six hundred Danites, fully armed, set out from Zorah and Eshtaol.

When the Danites returned to their tribe in Zorah and Eshtaol, their kinsmen asked them,“ How did it go?”

When Moses sent them to investigate the land of Canaan, he told them,“ Go up through the Negev, and then go up into the hill country

The Levite said to him,“ We are traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote region of the Ephraimite hill country. That’s where I’m from. I had business in Bethlehem in Judah, but now I’m heading home. But no one has invited me into their home.

Plans are established by counsel, so make war with guidance.

Or what king, going out to confront another king in battle, will not sit down first and determine whether he is able with ten thousand to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?

In those days Israel had no king. There was a Levite living temporarily in the remote region of the Ephraimite hill country. He acquired a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah.

Then Joseph remembered the dreams he had dreamed about them, and he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to see if our land is vulnerable!”

Their assigned land included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh,

Joshua replied to them,“ Since you have so many people, go up into the forest and clear out a place to live in the land of the Perizzites and Rephaites, for the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you.”The descendants of Joseph said,“ The whole hill country is inadequate for us, and the Canaanites living down in the valley in Beth Shean and its surrounding towns and in the Valley of Jezreel have chariots with iron-rimmed wheels.”Joshua said to the family of Joseph– to both Ephraim and Manasseh:“ You have many people and great military strength. You will not have just one tribal allotment.The whole hill country will be yours; though it is a forest, you can clear it and it will be entirely yours. You can conquer the Canaanites, though they have chariots with iron-rimmed wheels and are strong.”

There was a man named Manoah from Zorah, from the Danite tribe. His wife was infertile and childless.

His brothers and all his family went down and brought him back. They buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. He had led Israel for twenty years.There was a man named Micah from the Ephraimite hill country.
