So the Danites sent five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol to spy out the land and explore it. These men represented all the Danites. They told them,“ Go, explore the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim and came to the house of Micah, where they spent the night.

So the people of Dan sent out five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol. They told the men to look over the land and check it out. Those men did it for all the people of Dan. Those people told the men,“ Go. Check out the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim. They went to the house of Micah. That’s where they spent the night.

So the people of Dan sent five able men from the whole number of their tribe, from Zorah and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to explore it. And they said to them,“ Go and explore the land.” And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.

So the men of Dan chose from their clans five capable warriors from the towns of Zorah and Eshtaol to scout out a land for them to settle in. When these warriors arrived in the hill country of Ephraim, they came to Micah’s house and spent the night there.

So the Danites sent out five brave men from all their clans, from Zorah and Eshtaol, to scout out the land and explore it. They told them,“ Go and explore the land.” They came to the hill country of Ephraim as far as the home of Micah and spent the night there.

So the sons of Dan sent from their family five men out of their whole number, valiant men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to explore it; and they said to them,“ Go, explore the land.” And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and stayed overnight there.

So the children of Dan sent five men of their family from their territory, men of valor from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and search it. They said to them,“ Go, search the land.” So they went to the mountains of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.

The Danites sent out from their whole tribe five representatives, capable men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and explore it. They said to them,“ Go, explore the land.” They came to the Ephraimite hill country and spent the night at Micah’s house.

The children of Dan sent five men of their family from their whole number, men of valor, from Zorah and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to search it. They said to them,“ Go, explore the land!” They came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.

在瑪哈尼．但（“瑪哈尼．但”意即“但的軍營”），就是在瑣拉和以實陶中間，耶和華的靈開始感動參孫。

於是，嫩的兒子約書亞從什亭祕密地差派兩個探子，對他們說：“你們去窺探那地，尤其是耶利哥。”二人去了，來到一個名叫喇合的妓女家中，就在那裡住宿。

於是但人的家族中有六百人，帶著兵器從那裡出發，就是從瑣拉和以實陶出發。

他們回到瑣拉和以實陶自己的族人那裡去；族人問他們：“你們有甚麼話說？”

摩西派他們去窺探迦南地，對他們說：“你們要從這裡上南地，然後上山地去。

利未人回答他：“我們是從猶大的伯利恆過來的，要到以法蓮山地的偏遠地區去，我原是那地方的人；我去過猶大的伯利恆，現在我要到我的家去（“到我的家去”原文作“到耶和華的殿去”），但沒有人接待我到家裡去。

計劃要有籌算才能確立；作戰也要倚靠智謀。

或者一個王去和別的王打仗，哪有不先坐下想想，能否用一萬兵去抵抗那領兩萬來攻打他的呢？

在以色列中沒有王的日子，有一個利未人寄居在以法蓮山地的偏遠地區；他從猶大的伯利恆給自己娶了一個女子作妾。

約瑟想起從前所作關於他們的兩個夢，就對他們說：“你們是間諜，是來偵察本地的虛實。”

他們產業的境界包括：瑣拉、以實陶、伊珥．示麥、

約書亞對他們說：“如果你們族大人多，又嫌以法蓮山地過於窄小，就可以上森林區去，在比利洗人和利乏音人之地那裡自己砍伐樹木。”約瑟的子孫回答：“那山地容不下我們，並且住在谷地的所有迦南人，就是住在伯．善和屬於伯．善的市鎮的人，以及住在耶斯列谷的人，都有鐵車。”約書亞對約瑟家，就是對以法蓮人和瑪拿西人說：“你們族大人多，勢力強大，不可以只抽一份地業；山地也要歸給你們，那裡雖然是森林，你們可以砍伐，開闢的土地都歸給你們，直到它最遠的邊界；迦南人雖然擁有鐵車，勢力強大，你們也能把他們趕出去。”

那時有一個瑣拉人，是屬於但支派的，名叫瑪挪亞；他的妻子不能生育，沒有孩子。

參孫的眾兄弟和他父親的全家都下來，收殮他的屍體，把他抬上去，埋葬在瑣拉和以實陶之間，在他父親瑪挪亞的墳墓裡。參孫治理了以色列人二十年。以法蓮山地有一個人，名叫米迦。
