The five men who had spied out the land went inside and took the idol, the ephod and the household gods while the priest and the six hundred armed men stood at the entrance of the gate.

The five men who had looked over the land went inside. They took the statue covered with silver. They also took the family gods and the linen apron. During that time, the priest stood at the entrance of the gate. The 600 men stood there with him. They were prepared for battle.

And the five men who had gone to scout out the land went up and entered and took the carved image, the ephod, the household gods, and the metal image, while the priest stood by the entrance of the gate with the 600 men armed with weapons of war.

the five scouts entered the shrine and removed the carved image, the sacred ephod, the household idols, and the cast idol. Meanwhile, the priest was standing at the gate with the 600 armed warriors.

Then the five men who had gone to spy out the land went up. Entering there, they took the carved image, the ephod, the household idols, and the molded image. The priest stood at the entrance of the gate with the six hundred men who were armed with weapons of war.

And the five men that went to spy out the land went up,[ and] came in thither,[ and] took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men[ that were] appointed with weapons of war.

先前窥探拉亿地的五个人对他们的弟兄说：“你们知道吗？这些屋子里有以弗得和家中的神像，以及一尊雕刻的像与一尊铸成的像。现在你们要知道该怎么做。”

米迦把银子还他母亲，他母亲把二百块银子交给银匠，去造一尊雕刻的像，以及一尊铸成的像，安置在米迦的房子里。米迦这个人有了神堂，又造了以弗得和家中的神像，派他的一个儿子作祭司。

但人从琐拉和以实陶派本族中的五个勇士，去窥探侦察那地，对他们说：“你们去侦察那地。”他们来到以法莲山区米迦的家中，就在那里住宿。

当时拉班去剪羊毛，拉结偷了他父亲家中的神像。

非利士人召了祭司和占卜的来，说：“我们向耶和华的约柜应当怎样做呢？请指示我们要用什么方法把约柜送回原处。”他们说：“若要将以色列神的约柜送回去，不可空手送回，一定要给他献赔罪的礼物，然后你们才可以得痊愈，并且知道他的手为何不离开你们。”非利士人说：“应当用什么献为赔罪的礼物呢？”他们说：“当按照非利士领袖的数目，献五个金痔疮和五个金老鼠，因为你们众人和领袖所遭遇的都是一样的灾祸。当制造你们痔疮的像和毁坏田地老鼠的像，并要将荣耀归给以色列的神，或者他向你们和你们的神明，以及你们的田地，把手放轻些。你们为何硬着心，像埃及人和法老硬着心一样呢？神岂不是严厉对付埃及，使埃及人释放以色列人，他们就走了吗？现在你们应当造一辆新车，把两头未曾负轭，还在哺乳的母牛套在车上，赶牛犊离开母牛，回家去。你们要把耶和华的约柜放在车上，把所献赔罪的金器装在匣子里，放在柜旁，送走柜子，让它去。你们要观察：车若直行过以色列的边界，上到伯‧示麦去，这大灾祸就是耶和华降在我们身上的；若不然，我们就知道，这不是他的手击打我们，而是我们偶然遭遇的。”

他将他们所铸的牛犊用火焚烧，磨得粉碎，撒在水面上，叫以色列人喝。

我必从你中间除灭雕刻的偶像和柱像，你就不再跪拜自己手所造的；

神的约柜被掳去，以利的两个儿子何弗尼、非尼哈也都被杀了。

他们抬起神像，扛在肩上，安置在定处，使它站立，不离本位；人呼求它，它却不回答，也无法救人脱离灾难。

彼勒叩拜，尼波屈身；巴比伦的偶像驮在走兽和牲畜背上。你们所抬的成了重驮，使牲畜疲乏。这些神明一同屈身叩拜，不能救自己，反倒遭人掳去。

约阿施对站着敌对他的众人说：“你们是为巴力辩护吗？你们要救它吗？谁为它辩护，就在早晨把谁处死吧！巴力如果是神，有人拆毁了它的坛，就让它为自己辩护吧！”

将列国的神像扔在火里，因为它们不是神，是人手所造的，是木头、石头，所以被灭绝了。耶和华—我们的神啊，现在求你救我们脱离亚述王的手，使地上万国都知道惟独你—耶和华是神！”
