米迦曰、盍偕我居、我尊爾如父、為我作祭司、我歲給爾銀十舍客勒、衣服一襲、又供爾饌、利未人就之、

Then Micah said to him,“ Live with me and be my father and priest, and I’ll give you ten shekels of silver a year, your clothes and your food.”

Then Micah said to him,“ Live with me. Be my father and priest. I’ll give you four ounces of silver a year. I’ll also give you clothes and food.”

And Micah said to him,“ Stay with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year and a suit of clothes and your living.” And the Levite went in.

Micah replied,“ Stay with me and be my father and priest, and I will give you four ounces of silver a year, along with your clothing and provisions.” So the Levite went in

Micah then said to him,“ Stay with me and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year, a supply of clothing, and your sustenance.” So the Levite went in.

Micah said to him,“ Dwell with me, and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten shekels of silver per year, a suit of clothes, and your sustenance.” So the Levite went in.

And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten pieces of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.

Micah replied,“ Stay with me and be my father and priest, and I will give you four ounces of silver a year, along with your clothing and provisions.” So the Levite went in

And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten[ shekels] of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.

Micah said to him,“ Stay with me. Become my adviser and priest. I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, plus clothes and food.”

Micah said to him,“ Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, a suit of clothing, and your food.” So the Levite went in.

“ Be quiet and come with us,” they said.“ Be a father and priest to all of us. Isn’t it better to be a priest for an entire tribe and clan of Israel than for the household of just one man?”The young priest was quite happy to go with them, so he took along the sacred ephod, the household idols, and the carved image.

When Elisha was in his last illness, King Jehoash of Israel visited him and wept over him.“ My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” he cried.

I was a father to the poor and assisted strangers who needed help.

Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly— not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.

the king said to Hazael,“ Take a gift to the man of God. Then tell him to ask the Lord,‘ Will I recover from this illness?’”So Hazael loaded down forty camels with the finest products of Damascus as a gift for Elisha. He went to him and said,“ Your servant Ben hadad, the king of Aram, has sent me to ask,‘ Will I recover from this illness?’”

and asked,“ How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” And they gave him thirty pieces of silver.

Then all of your surviving family will bow before him, begging for money and food.‘ Please,’ they will say,‘ give us jobs among the priests so we will have enough to eat.’”

I will dress him in your royal robes and will give him your title and your authority. And he will be a father to the people of Jerusalem and Judah.

The Levite agreed to this, and the young man became like one of Micah’s sons.

You bring shame on me among my people for a few handfuls of barley or a piece of bread. By lying to my people who love to listen to lies, you kill those who should not die, and you promise life to those who should not live.

When the king of Israel saw them, he shouted to Elisha,“ My father, should I kill them? Should I kill them?”

So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser to Pharaoh— the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt.

Not that he cared for the poor— he was a thief, and since he was in charge of the disciples’ money, he often stole some for himself.

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
