Then Micah said to him,“ Live with me and be my father and priest, and I’ll give you ten shekels of silver a year, your clothes and your food.”

米迦曰、可偕我居、為我之父與祭司、歲給十金、衣服一襲、供爾之饌、利未人遂入室、

米迦曰、盍偕我居、任祭司之職、尊猶我父、歲給十金、衣服食物、我盡饋爾。利未人入室。

米迦曰、盍偕我居、我尊爾如父、為我作祭司、我歲給爾銀十舍客勒、衣服一襲、又供爾饌、利未人就之、

Then Micah said to him,“ Live with me. Be my father and priest. I’ll give you four ounces of silver a year. I’ll also give you clothes and food.”

And Micah said to him,“ Stay with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year and a suit of clothes and your living.” And the Levite went in.

“ Stay here with me,” Micah said,“ and you can be a father and priest to me. I will give you ten pieces of silver a year, plus a change of clothes and your food.”

Micah replied,“ Stay with me and be my father and priest, and I will give you four ounces of silver a year, along with your clothing and provisions.” So the Levite went in

Micah then said to him,“ Stay with me and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year, a supply of clothing, and your sustenance.” So the Levite went in.

Micah said to him,“ Dwell with me, and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten shekels of silver per year, a suit of clothes, and your sustenance.” So the Levite went in.

And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten pieces of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.

Micah replied,“ Stay with me and be my father and priest, and I will give you four ounces of silver a year, along with your clothing and provisions.” So the Levite went in

And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten[ shekels] of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.

Micah said to him,“ Stay with me. Become my adviser and priest. I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, plus clothes and food.”

Micah said to him,“ Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, a suit of clothing, and your food.” So the Levite went in.

They answered him,“ Be quiet! Don’t say a word. Come with us, and be our father and priest. Isn’t it better that you serve a tribe and clan in Israel as priest rather than just one man’s household?”The priest was very pleased. He took the ephod, the household gods and the idol and went along with the people.

Now Elisha had been suffering from the illness from which he died. Jehoash king of Israel went down to see him and wept over him.“ My father! My father!” he cried.“ The chariots and horsemen of Israel!”

I was a father to the needy; I took up the case of the stranger.

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them— not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve;

he said to Hazael,“ Take a gift with you and go to meet the man of God. Consult the Lord through him; ask him,‘ Will I recover from this illness?’”Hazael went to meet Elisha, taking with him as a gift forty camel-loads of all the finest wares of Damascus. He went in and stood before him, and said,“ Your son Ben-Hadad king of Aram has sent me to ask,‘ Will I recover from this illness?’”

and asked,“ What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver.

Then everyone left in your family line will come and bow down before him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread and plead,“ Appoint me to some priestly office so I can have food to eat.”’”

I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the people of Judah.

So the Levite agreed to live with him, and the young man became like one of his sons to him.

You have profaned me among my people for a few handfuls of barley and scraps of bread. By lying to my people, who listen to lies, you have killed those who should not have died and have spared those who should not live.

When the king of Israel saw them, he asked Elisha,“ Shall I kill them, my father? Shall I kill them?”

“ So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.

He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
