And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten[ shekels] of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.

Then Micah said to him,“ Live with me and be my father and priest, and I’ll give you ten shekels of silver a year, your clothes and your food.”

Then Micah said to him,“ Live with me. Be my father and priest. I’ll give you four ounces of silver a year. I’ll also give you clothes and food.”

And Micah said to him,“ Stay with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year and a suit of clothes and your living.” And the Levite went in.

“ Stay here with me,” Micah said,“ and you can be a father and priest to me. I will give you ten pieces of silver a year, plus a change of clothes and your food.”

Micah replied,“ Stay with me and be my father and priest, and I will give you four ounces of silver a year, along with your clothing and provisions.” So the Levite went in

Micah then said to him,“ Stay with me and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year, a supply of clothing, and your sustenance.” So the Levite went in.

Micah said to him,“ Dwell with me, and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten shekels of silver per year, a suit of clothes, and your sustenance.” So the Levite went in.

Micah said to him,“ Stay with me. Become my adviser and priest. I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, plus clothes and food.”

Micah said to him,“ Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, a suit of clothing, and your food.” So the Levite went in.

And they said unto him, Hold thy peace, lay thine hand upon thy mouth, and go with us, and be to us a father and a priest:[ is it] better for thee to be a priest unto the house of one man, or that thou be a priest unto a tribe and a family in Israel?And the priest’s heart was glad, and he took the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the people.

Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.

I[ was] a father to the poor: and the cause[ which] I knew not I searched out.

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight[ thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

And said[ unto them], What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

And it shall come to pass,[ that] every one that is left in thine house shall come[ and] crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.

And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.

And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear[ your] lies?

And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite[ them]? shall I smite[ them]?

So now[ it was] not you[ that] sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
