Now the rulers of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god and to celebrate, saying,“ Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands.”

The Philistine rulers held a great festival, offering sacrifices and praising their god, Dagon. They said,“ Our god has given us victory over our enemy Samson!”

Now the Philistine leaders gathered together to offer a great sacrifice to their god Dagon. They rejoiced and said: Our god has handed over our enemy Samson to us.

Now the governors of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god, and to celebrate, for they said,“ Our god has handed Samson our enemy over to us.”

非利士人将神的约柜抬进大衮庙，放在大衮的旁边。次日清早，亚实突人起来，见大衮仆倒在耶和华的约柜前，脸伏于地，就把大衮仍立在原处。又次日清早起来，见大衮仆倒在耶和华的约柜前，脸伏于地，并且大衮的头和两手都在门槛上折断，只剩下大衮的残体。因此，大衮的祭司和一切进亚实突、大衮庙的人都不踏大衮庙的门槛，直到今日。

将不能朽坏之神的荣耀变为偶像，仿佛必朽坏的人和飞禽、走兽、昆虫的样式。所以，神任凭他们逞着心里的情欲行污秽的事，以致彼此玷辱自己的身体。他们将神的真实变为虚谎，去敬拜侍奉受造之物，不敬奉那造物的主。主乃是可称颂的，直到永远。阿们！

“现在这些人以我为歌曲，以我为笑谈。他们厌恶我，躲在旁边站着，不住地吐唾沫在我脸上。

又将扫罗的军装放在他们神的庙里，将他的首级钉在大衮庙中。

你仇敌跌倒，你不要欢喜；他倾倒，你心不要快乐；

我在患难中，他们却欢喜，大家聚集。我所不认识的那些下流人聚集攻击我；他们不住地把我撕裂。他们如同席上好嬉笑的狂妄人向我咬牙。

我乃是说，外邦人所献的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神。我不愿意你们与鬼相交。

万民各奉己神的名而行；我们却永永远远奉耶和华我们神的名而行。

论到吃祭偶像之物，我们知道偶像在世上算不得什么，也知道神只有一位，再没有别的神。虽有称为神的，或在天，或在地，就如那许多的神，许多的主；

岂有一国换了他的神吗？其实这不是神！但我的百姓将他们的荣耀换了那无益的神。
