以必朽的人、飞禽、走兽和爬虫的形象来取代永恒上帝的荣耀。因此，上帝任凭他们随从内心的情欲行污秽的事，玷污彼此的身体。他们把上帝的真理当作谎言，祭拜、供奉受造之物，却不敬拜、事奉造物主。主是永远值得称颂的。阿们！

“如今，他们竟唱歌讽刺我，我成了他们的笑柄。他们厌恶我，不愿靠近我，任意朝我脸上吐唾沫。

他们将扫罗的盔甲放在他们的神庙里，把他的头颅挂在大衮神庙中。

仇敌跌倒，不要幸灾乐祸；仇敌败落，不要心里欢喜。

我遭遇患难时，他们却聚在一起幸灾乐祸，合伙诽谤我。素不相识的人也群起攻击我，不住地毁谤我。他们肆无忌惮地嘲弄我，咬牙切齿地憎恶我。

当然不是，我的意思是那些异教徒所献的祭是祭鬼魔的，而不是献给上帝的。我不愿意你们与鬼魔有任何关系。

万民都遵从自己的神明，但我们要永远遵从我们的上帝耶和华。

论到吃献给偶像的祭物，我们知道世上的偶像算不得什么，只有一位上帝，此外别无他神。虽然天上地上有许多被称为神的，好像有许多神、许多主，

虽然列国的神明根本不是真神，却没有一国更换自己的神明。但我的子民却把自己荣耀的上帝换作了无用的假神。
