但他们的计谋给扫罗知道了。他们就在各城门日夜把守，要杀掉他。

到了早上，所有的祭司长和民间的长老商议怎样对付耶稣，好杀掉他。

现在你们和公议会要通知千夫长，带保罗到你们这里来，装作要详细审查他。我们已经预备好了，不等他走近，就把他杀了。”

在大马士革，亚里达王手下的总督把守着大马士革城，要拘捕我，我就被人放在一个大篮子里，从城墙的窗户缒下来，逃脱了他的手。

佃户看见他的儿子，就彼此说：‘这是继承产业的；来，我们杀了他，占有他的产业吧！’

参孙非常口渴，就呼求耶和华说：“你既然藉着你仆人的手施行这么大的拯救，现在我怎可以渴死，落在未受割礼的人手中呢？”

扫罗派人到大卫家里去监视他，要在第二天早晨杀死他。大卫的妻子米甲告诉他说：“今天晚上你若不逃命，明天就会被杀死。”
