Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord,“ You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Samson was very thirsty. So he cried out to the Lord. He said,“ You have helped me win this great battle. Do I have to die of thirst now? Must I fall into the power of people who haven’t even been circumcised? They aren’t your people.”

And he was very thirsty, and he called upon the Lord and said,“ You have granted this great salvation by the hand of your servant, and shall I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Samson was now very thirsty, and he cried out to the Lord,“ You have accomplished this great victory by the strength of your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of these pagans?”

He became very thirsty and called out to the LORD,“ You have accomplished this great victory through your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Then he became very thirsty, and he called to the Lord and said,“ You have handed this great victory over to Your servant, and now am I to die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Then he became very thirsty; so he cried out to the Lord and said,“ You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant; and now shall I die of thirst and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?”

And he was sore athirst, and called on Jehovah, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance by the hand of thy servant; and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised.

無論獅子還是熊，你的僕人都擊殺過。這未受割禮的非利士人也必像牠們中的一個，因為他辱罵永生神的軍隊。」

大衛心裡說：「我總有一天會死在掃羅手中，已經別無選擇，只能逃到非利士人之地；這樣，掃羅就會放棄，不會繼續在以色列全境尋索我，我也就逃脫他的手了。」

我們處處受患難，卻不被壓碎；心裡困惑，卻沒有絕望；受逼迫，卻不被撇棄；被打倒，卻沒有滅亡。

弟兄們，我們不願意你們不明白我們在亞細亞省所遭受的患難：我們所受的壓力遠遠過於我們的承受能力，甚至連活下去的希望也沒有了。然而我們在自己裡面已經承受了死亡的判決，好讓我們不依靠自己，而依靠那使死人復活的神。

耶和華啊，求你起來！我的神哪，求你拯救我！是的，你擊打了我一切仇敵的臉頰，打碎了惡人的牙。救恩在於耶和華！願你的祝福臨到你的子民。細拉

並且為了不讓我因這些極大的啟示而高抬自己，有一根刺加在我的肉體上，就是撒旦的使者來擊打我，免得我高抬自己。為了這事，我三次求主使這根刺離開我。

除了耶和華，誰是神呢？除了我們的神，誰是磐石呢？這位神，他以能力裝備我，他使我的道路純全。他使我的腳快如母鹿的腳，又使我穩立在高處。他訓練我的手作戰，使我的膀臂能拉開銅弓。你把你救恩的盾牌賜給我，你的右手扶持我，你的謙卑使我為大。你使我腳下的路寬闊，我的腳踝也不顫抖。我追趕我的仇敵，並要追上他們；不滅絕他們，我絕不返回。我擊碎他們，使他們不能起來；他們都仆倒在我的腳下。你以能力裝備我作戰，又使起來敵對我的人屈服在我之下。你使我的仇敵在我面前轉身而逃，我把那些恨我的人除盡。

這事以後，耶穌知道一切都已經完成了，為要應驗經上的話，就說：「我渴了。」

亞伯拉罕回答：「因為我想這地方一定沒有敬畏神的人，他們會因我妻子的緣故殺了我。

不要在迦特報信，不要在阿實基倫的街上傳揚，免得非利士女子歡喜，免得未受割禮之人的女子們歡躍。

埃及人看見你的時候，就會說『這是他的妻子』，然後殺了我，卻讓你存活。請你說你是我的妹妹，好讓我因你的緣故受到善待，我的性命也因你的緣故得以存活。」

我像水一樣被傾倒，我全身的骨頭都脫節了；我的心像蠟那樣，在我裡面融化。我的力量如同瓦片一樣枯乾，我的舌頭緊貼在上顎；你把我放在死亡的塵土中。

我還要再說什麼呢？如果我一一述說基甸、巴拉克、叄孫、耶弗達、大衛、撒母耳和先知們的事，時間就不夠了。

大衛問站在旁邊的人說：「如果有人擊殺這非利士人，除掉以色列的羞辱，他會被怎樣對待呢？這未受割禮的非利士人是誰，竟敢辱罵永生神的軍隊！」

雅各過毗努伊勒的時候，太陽初升，照在他身上。他因大腿的傷就一瘸一拐。
