Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord,“ You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Samson was very thirsty. So he cried out to the Lord. He said,“ You have helped me win this great battle. Do I have to die of thirst now? Must I fall into the power of people who haven’t even been circumcised? They aren’t your people.”

And he was very thirsty, and he called upon the Lord and said,“ You have granted this great salvation by the hand of your servant, and shall I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Samson was now very thirsty, and he cried out to the Lord,“ You have accomplished this great victory by the strength of your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of these pagans?”

He became very thirsty and called out to the LORD,“ You have accomplished this great victory through your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Then he became very thirsty, and he called to the Lord and said,“ You have handed this great victory over to Your servant, and now am I to die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

And he was sore athirst, and called on Jehovah, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance by the hand of thy servant; and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised.

你仆人不但击杀过狮子，也击杀过熊。这个未受割礼的非利士人也必像一只狮子或熊一样，因为他向永活的神的军队骂阵。”

大卫心里说：“总有一天，我会死在扫罗的手里，我倒不如逃奔到非利士人的国土，扫罗对我就会死心，不再在以色列全境寻索我，我就可以逃脱他的手了。”

我们虽然四面受压，却没有压碎；心里作难，却不至绝望，受到迫害，却没有被丢弃；打倒了，却不至死亡。

弟兄们，我们在亚西亚遭受的患难，我们很想让你们知道。那时我们受到了过于我们所能忍受的压力，甚至活下去的希望都没有了，而且断定自己是必死的了；然而，这正是要我们不倚靠自己，只倚靠那叫死人复活的神。

耶和华啊！求你起来；我的神啊！求你拯救我，你击打了我所有仇敌的脸颊，打碎了恶人的牙齿。救恩属于耶和华，愿你赐福给你的子民。（细拉）

又因为我所得的启示太大，恐怕会高抬自己，所以就有一根刺加在我的身上，就是撒但的差役来攻击我，免得我高抬自己。为了这事，我曾经三次求主，使这根刺离开我。

除了耶和华，谁是神呢？除了我们的神，谁是磐石呢？他是那位以能力给我束腰的神，他使我的道路完全。他使我的脚像母鹿的蹄，又使我站稳在高处。他教导我的手怎样作战，又使我的手臂可以拉开铜弓。你把你救恩的盾牌赐给我，你的右手扶持我，你的温柔使我昌大。你使我脚底下的路径宽阔，我的两膝没有动摇。我追赶仇敌，把他们追上；不消灭他们，我必不归回。我重创他们，使他们不能起来；他们都倒在我的脚下。你以能力给我束腰，使我能够作战；你又使那些起来攻击我的人都屈服在我的脚下。你使我的仇敌在我面前转背逃跑，使我可以歼灭恨我的人。

这事以后，耶稣知道一切都已经成就了，为了要使经上的话应验，就说：“我渴了。”

亚伯拉罕回答：“因为我以为这地方必定没有敬畏神的人，他们会因我妻子的缘故杀我。

基甸来到约旦河，就过了河；他和与他在一起的三百人虽然都很疲乏，仍然追赶敌人。

你们不要在迦特报道，不要在亚实基伦的街上宣扬，免得非利士的女子欢喜，免得未受割礼之人的女子快乐。

参孙呼求耶和华，说：“主耶和华啊，求你记念我；神啊，求你加强我这一次的力量，只这一次罢了，使我尽一次在非利士人身上报那剜我双眼的仇！”

埃及人看见你的时候，必会说：‘这是他的妻子’，他们就会杀我，却叫你活着。请你说你是我的妹妹，使我因你的缘故可以平安无事，我的性命也可以因你的缘故得以保全。”

我好像水被倾倒出去，我全身的骨头都散脱了，我的心在我里面像蜡融化。我的精力像瓦片一样枯干，我的舌头紧黏着上颚，你把我放在死亡的尘土中。

我还要再说什么呢？如果再要述说基甸、巴拉、参孙、耶弗他、大卫、撒母耳和众先知的事，时间就不够了。

大卫问站在他旁边的人说：“如果有人击杀这个非利士人，除去以色列人的耻辱，那人会得到怎么的对待呢？这未受割礼的非利士人是谁呢？竟敢向永活的神的军队骂阵？”

雅各经过毗努伊勒的时候，太阳刚刚出来，照在他身上。他因为大腿的伤，跛脚行走。
