The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.

扫罗听见这些话，就被神的灵催逼，大发怒气。

然后他说：“让我与非利士人一起死吧！”他尽力弯腰，庙宇就倒塌了，压住领袖和庙宇内的众人。这样，参孙死的时候所杀的人比活着所杀的还多。

他回答我说：“这是耶和华指示所罗巴伯的话。万军之耶和华说：不是倚靠势力，不是倚靠才能，乃是倚靠我的灵方能成事。

他找到一块未干的驴腮骨，就伸手拾起来，用它杀了一千人。

大卫对扫罗说：“你仆人为父亲放羊，有时狮子来了，有时熊来了，从群中抓走一只羔羊。我就追赶它，击打它，把羔羊从它口中救出来。它起来攻击我，我就揪它的胡子，打死它。你仆人曾打死狮子和熊，这未受割礼的非利士人必像狮子和熊一样，因为他向永生神的军队骂阵。”大卫又说：“耶和华救我脱离狮子和熊的爪，他必救我脱离这非利士人的手。”扫罗对大卫说：“你去吧！耶和华必与你同在。”

耶和华的灵降在耶弗他身上，他就经过基列和玛拿西，经过基列的米斯巴，又从基列的米斯巴过到亚扪人那里。

他不喧嚷，不扬声，也不使街上听见他的声音。

我心里柔和谦卑，你们当负我的轭，向我学习；这样，你们的心灵就必得安息。

参孙狠狠击杀他们，把他们连腿带腰都砍了。过后，他就下去，住在以坦岩的石洞里。

今日耶和华必将你交在我手里。我必杀你，砍下你的头，今日我要把非利士军兵的尸体给空中的飞鸟和地上的野兽，使全地的人都知道以色列中有神，
