And Samson’s wife was given to one of his companions who had attended him at the feast.

Samson’s wife was given to someone else. She was given to a companion of Samson. The companion had helped him at the feast.

So his wife was given in marriage to the man who had been Samson’s best man at the wedding.

The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. This then is my joy, and it is complete.

Indeed, it is not an enemy who insults me, or else I could bear it; it is not one who hates me who arrogantly taunts me, or else I could hide from him.But it is you, a man like me, my close friend in whom I confided.

One friend deceives another and no one tells the truth. These people have trained themselves to tell lies. They do wrong and are unable to repent.
