He replied,“ Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet.” For three days they could not give the answer.

Samson replied,“ Out of the eater came something to eat. Out of the strong came something sweet.” For three days they couldn’t give him the answer.

And he said to them,“ Out of the eater came something to eat. Out of the strong came something sweet.” And in three days they could not solve the riddle.

So he said:“ Out of the one who eats came something to eat; out of the strong came something sweet.” Three days later they were still trying to figure it out.

So he said to them: Out of the eater came something to eat, and out of the strong came something sweet. After three days, they were unable to explain the riddle.

He said to them,“ Out of the eater came out food. Out of the strong came out sweetness.” They couldn’t in three days declare the riddle.

朝則鴉為之攜餅與肉、暮亦攜餅與肉、所飲者此溪之水、

兄弟乎、爾遇諸艱難之試、當以為樂、因知試爾信之艱難、能生忍耐、惟當使忍耐成功、致爾全備無缺、

主願使之受折磨、受苦楚、以己身獻為贖罪祭後、必得見後裔、壽命綿延、主之志必藉以大成、主之志必藉以大成或作其手所行主之事無不亨通主曰、彼受艱苦後、見所結之果、無不心足、我之義僕、必以己之智慧、使多人稱義、並任其罪愆、是故我使彼與位大者同得其分、與世之強者共分貲財、緣彼甘心捐命、人列之於罪人中、實則負他人之罪、更為惡人祈禱、

眾子既有血肉之身、彼亦有血肉之身、致可以死而滅秉死之權者、即魔也、且解釋因畏死而一生屈服者、

我欲兄弟知我所遇之事、更有益於福音、蓋我為基督受縲絏、徧聞於御營、以及他處、信主之兄弟多人、因我之縲絏增加其信、益毅然傳道而無懼、人傳基督、為嫉妒分爭者有之、為善意者亦有之、彼傳基督為分爭、非由誠心、欲增我縲絏之苦、此則由愛心、知我為辯福音而立、然此亦何妨、其意或偽或誠、無論如何、基督究以是而傳矣、我為之而樂、亦必終樂、我知此事因爾之祈禱、又賴耶穌基督之神祐我、終必使我得救、我盼望希冀、凡事無愧、惟毅然如常、無論生死、必以我身丕顯基督、

曰、無啟迪我者、何能明乎、遂請腓立登車同坐、

今我所受暫而且微之苦、為我備至大無比之永榮、

生我身之父、暫時任意懲我、惟賦畀我神之父懲我、乃為我之益、使我成聖、可同於彼、凡懲責、受之時不為樂、乃為憂、後必為由懲責得練達者、結善義平康之果、

然於此諸事、我儕賴愛我者、大獲全勝、

彼懸於木、親身負我眾之罪、使我儕既脫罪若死、則可為義而生、蓋彼受鞭撻、而爾得痊愈、

我使爾與婦為仇、爾之裔與婦之裔亦為仇、婦裔將傷爾首、爾將傷其踵、

使爾經歷曠野、廣大可畏、有毒火蛇與蠍、乾旱無水之地、又為爾使水出自堅磐、又在曠野、以爾祖不識之瑪拿飼爾、使爾自卑、以試驗爾、使爾終必享福、

不第此也、亦以患難為樂、以患難為樂或作因患難而誇因知患難生忍耐、忍耐生練達、練達生希望、希望不致羞愧、蓋天主之愛、以所賜我之聖神、灌注我心、
