He replied,“ Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet.” For three days they could not give the answer.

Samson replied,“ Out of the eater came something to eat. Out of the strong came something sweet.” For three days they couldn’t give him the answer.

And he said to them,“ Out of the eater came something to eat. Out of the strong came something sweet.” And in three days they could not solve the riddle.

So he said:“ Out of the one who eats came something to eat; out of the strong came something sweet.” Three days later they were still trying to figure it out.

So he said to them: Out of the eater came something to eat, and out of the strong came something sweet. After three days, they were unable to explain the riddle.

So he said to them,“ Out of the eater came something to eat, And out of the strong came something sweet.” But they could not tell the answer to the riddle in three days.

He said to them,“ Out of the eater came out food. Out of the strong came out sweetness.” They couldn’t in three days declare the riddle.

烏朝夕以餅與肉給之、所飲者、此溪之水、

我兄弟乎、爾罹諸試、當悉以為樂、因知爾信之經驗、乃致忍也、惟使忍成功、致爾完全無缺、○

曰、天國之奧、予爾知之、不予他人也、

主曰、吾恩於爾足矣、我之能於弱者而成全之、故我欣然、寧誇我弱、使基督之能庇我、我為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、空乏、窘逐、阨窮為喜、蓋我弱時則強焉、○

耶和華願損傷之、俾遘病患、彼獻己生為贖罪祭、必見厥裔、其壽綿長、耶和華之志、藉其手而大成、主曰、彼必見其艱苦之果、遂得滿志、我之義僕、將以其知識、俾多人為義、而任其過、我必使其與大人共業、與強者分財、以其傾厥生命、至於死亡、與罪人同列、實負多人之咎、為干罪者祈焉、

夫眾子既屬血氣、彼亦同之、致得由死而滅秉死之權者、即魔也、且釋因畏死而終身屈服者、

兄弟乎、我欲爾知、我所遭之事、適以廣福音之傳、致我緣基督而受之縲絏、徧揚於御營、以及各方、且使宗主之兄弟、多因我縲絏、益毅然宣上帝道而無懼、夫宣基督、以媢嫉紛爭者有之、以善意者亦有之、此則出於愛、知我之立、為辯福音也、彼則出於樹黨、非誠也、欲增我縲絏之苦耳、然則何如乎、無論或偽或誠、基督是宣、我則樂之、且終樂之、蓋我知此、由爾祈禱、及所賜耶穌基督之神、終必使我得救、依我之企望、概無所愧、而毅然如常、今或生或死、基督將於我身丕顯、

曰、無啟迪者、安能通曉乎、遂請腓利升車偕坐、

蓋我暫而且微之苦、適成我儕隆重悠久之榮、

彼乃暫依己意而懲、惟此則為我之益、使我與其聖也、凡懲之之時、似非樂、而為憂、後則由懲生練而結和平之果、即義也、

然我儕於此諸事、賴愛我者勝而有餘、

身負我儕之罪而懸於木、致我既死於罪、而生於義、因彼之損傷、而爾得醫、

我以仇隙置爾與婦之間、爰及苗裔、彼將傷爾首、爾將傷其踵、

引爾經歷大而可畏之野、中有火蛇與蠍、旱乾無水之域、為爾使堅石出水、又於野間、食爾以瑪那、乃爾祖所未識者、卑抑爾、試驗爾、俾終獲福、

約沙法與民來取敵人之物、在屍中得貨財珍寶甚多、剝屍所得、過於所能負荷、取之三日、物多故也、

智慧極高、蠢者莫及、故在邑門、不啟其口、

或告約沙法曰、有羣眾自海外亞蘭來攻爾、今在哈洗遜他瑪、即隱基底、

不第此也、亦樂於患難、蓋知患難生強忍、強忍生練達、練達生希望、而希望不啟羞、緣上帝之愛、由賜我之聖神灌溉我心、
