Then the woman went to her husband and told him,“ A man of God came to me. He looked like an angel of God, very awesome. I didn’t ask him where he came from, and he didn’t tell me his name.

Then the woman came and told her husband, saying,“ A man of God came to me, and his face was like the face of the angel of God, very awesome. I didn’t ask him where he was from, neither did he tell me his name;

Then Manoah inquired of the angel of the Lord,“ What is your name, so that we may honor you when your word comes true?”He replied,“ Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.” (niv)

But the servant replied,“ Look, in this town there is a man of God; he is highly respected, and everything he says comes true. Let’s go there now. Perhaps he will tell us what way to take.” (niv)

Now a man of God came to Eli and said to him,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Did I not clearly reveal myself to your ancestor’s family when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh? (niv)

There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. (niv)

She said to her husband,“ I know that this man who often comes our way is a holy man of God. (niv)

Jacob said,“ Please tell me your name.” But he replied,“ Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there. (niv)

His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. (niv)

“ We are doomed to die!” he said to his wife.“ We have seen God!” (niv)

Then Manoah prayed to the Lord:“ Pardon your servant, Lord. I beg you to let the man of God you sent to us come again to teach us how to bring up the boy who is to be born.” (niv)

Then the woman said to Elijah,“ Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth.” (niv)

As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. (niv)

All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel. (niv)

“ About this time next year,” Elisha said,“ you will hold a son in your arms.”“ No, my lord!” she objected.“ Please, man of God, don’t mislead your servant!” (niv)
