我見無援、故冒死不顧、往攻其族、而耶和華以之付於我手、迄於今日、爾反來攻、是誠何與。

我見爾不來救援、遂冒死不顧、前往攻亞捫人、主以之付於我手、今日爾何為來攻我、

When I saw that you wouldn’t help, I took my life in my hands and crossed over to fight the Ammonites, and the Lord gave me the victory over them. Now why have you come up today to fight me?”
