對他說：“耶弗他這樣說：‘以色列人並沒有奪取過摩押地和亞捫人的土地。

對他說：『耶弗他這麼說：「以色列並沒有取過摩押地和亞捫人之地呀。

耶弗他云、摩押及亞捫人之地、以色列人未嘗奪之、

耶弗大云摩押與亞捫族之地、以色列族未嘗奪之。

謂之曰、耶弗他如是云、以色列人未嘗佔據摩押地、及亞捫人之地、

saying:“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

They said,“ Here is what Jephthah says to you. Israel didn’t take the land of Moab. They didn’t take the land of Ammon.

and said to him,“ Thus says Jephthah: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites,

“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not steal any land from Moab or Ammon.

to tell him,“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

and said to him,“ Thus says Jephthah:‘ Israel did not take away the land of Moab, nor the land of the people of Ammon;

and he said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah: Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon;

to tell him,“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon:

and said to him,“ This is what Jephthah says,‘ Israel did not steal the land of Moab and the land of the Ammonites.

and he said to him,“ Jephthah says: Israel didn’t take away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon;

Then the Lord said to me,‘ Do not attack Moab, nor provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land as a possession, because I have given Ar to the sons of Lot as a possession.’

When you come opposite the sons of Ammon, do not attack them nor provoke them, for I will not give you any of the land of the sons of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot as a possession.’

From there they journeyed and camped on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness that comes out of the border of the Amorites; for the Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.For that reason it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord,“ Waheb in Suphah, And the wadis of the Arnon,And the slope of the wadis That extends to the site of Ar, And leans to the border of Moab.”

For that reason those who use proverbs say,“ Come to Heshbon! Let it be built! So let the city of Sihon be established.For a fire spread from Heshbon, A flame from the town of Sihon; It devoured Ar of Moab, The dominant heights of the Arnon.Woe to you, Moab! You are destroyed, people of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives, And his daughters into captivity, To an Amorite king, Sihon.But we have shot them down with arrows, Heshbon is destroyed as far as Dibon, Then we have laid waste as far as Nophah, Which reaches to Medeba.”

Now behold, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, whom You did not allow Israel to invade when they came out of the land of Egypt( for they turned aside from them and did not destroy them),

And neither in the temple did they find me carrying on a discussion with anyone or causing a riot, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city itself.Nor can they prove to you the things of which they now accuse me.
