對他說：“耶弗他這樣說：‘以色列人並沒有奪取過摩押地和亞捫人的土地。

對他說：『耶弗他這麼說：「以色列並沒有取過摩押地和亞捫人之地呀。

耶弗他云、摩押及亞捫人之地、以色列人未嘗奪之、

耶弗大云摩押與亞捫族之地、以色列族未嘗奪之。

謂之曰、耶弗他如是云、以色列人未嘗佔據摩押地、及亞捫人之地、

saying:“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

They said,“ Here is what Jephthah says to you. Israel didn’t take the land of Moab. They didn’t take the land of Ammon.

and said to him,“ Thus says Jephthah: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites,

“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not steal any land from Moab or Ammon.

to tell him,“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

and they said to him,“ This is what Jephthah says:‘ Israel did not take the land of Moab nor the land of the sons of Ammon.

and said to him,“ Thus says Jephthah:‘ Israel did not take away the land of Moab, nor the land of the people of Ammon;

to tell him,“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon:

and said to him,“ This is what Jephthah says,‘ Israel did not steal the land of Moab and the land of the Ammonites.

and he said to him,“ Jephthah says: Israel didn’t take away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon;

And Jehovah said unto me, Vex not Moab, neither contend with them in battle; for I will not give thee of his land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.

and when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, vex them not, nor contend with them; for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.

From thence they journeyed, and encamped on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness, that cometh out of the border of the Amorites: for the Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.Wherefore it is said in the book of the Wars of Jehovah, Vaheb in Suphah, And the valleys of the Arnon,And the slope of the valleys That inclineth toward the dwelling of Ar, And leaneth upon the border of Moab.

Wherefore they that speak in proverbs say, Come ye to Heshbon; Let the city of Sihon be built and established:For a fire is gone out of Heshbon, A flame from the city of Sihon: It hath devoured Ar of Moab, The lords of the high places of the Arnon.Woe to thee, Moab! Thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: He hath given his sons as fugitives, And his daughters into captivity, Unto Sihon king of the Amorites.We have shot at them; Heshbon is perished even unto Dibon, And we have laid waste even unto Nophah, Which reacheth unto Medeba.

And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned aside from them, and destroyed them not;

and neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man or stirring up a crowd, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city.Neither can they prove to thee the things whereof they now accuse me.
