Jephthah sent messengers to the Ammonite king, saying,“ Why have you come against me to attack my land?”

耶弗大遣使者至亞捫族、告其王曰、我與爾何與、爾至斯土、攻我曷故。

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the Ammonite king with the question:“ What do you have against me that you have attacked my country?”

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of Ammon. They asked,“ What do you have against me? Why have you attacked my country?”

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites and said,“ What do you have against me, that you have come to me to fight against my land?”

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of Ammon, asking,“ Why have you come out to fight against my land?”

Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites, asking,“ What do you have against me that you have come to fight me in my land?”

So Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the sons of Ammon, saying,“ What conflict do you and I have, that you have come to me to fight against my land?”

Now Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the people of Ammon, saying,“ What do you have against me, that you have come to fight against me in my land?”

And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come unto me to fight against my land?

Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites, saying,“ What do you have against me that you have come to fight against me in my land?”

And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come against me to fight in my land?

Then I sent messengers from the Kedemoth Desert to King Sihon of Heshbon with an offer of peace:

Do not go out hastily to litigation, or what will you do afterward when your neighbor puts you to shame?When you argue a case with your neighbor, do not reveal the secret of another person,

Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom:“ Thus says your brother Israel:‘ You know all the hardships we have experienced,

When you approach a city to wage war against it, offer it terms of peace.If it accepts your terms and submits to you, all the people found in it will become your slaves.

Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel. He said,“ Come, let’s meet face to face.”King Jehoash of Israel sent this message back to King Amaziah of Judah,“ A thornbush in Lebanon sent this message to a cedar in Lebanon,‘ Give your daughter to my son as a wife.’ Then a wild animal of Lebanon came by and trampled down the thorn.You thoroughly defeated Edom and it has gone to your head! Gloat over your success, but stay in your palace. Why bring calamity on yourself? Why bring down yourself and Judah along with you?”But Amaziah would not heed the warning, so King Jehoash of Israel attacked. He and King Amaziah of Judah met face to face in Beth Shemesh of Judah.Judah was defeated by Israel, and each man ran back home.

Then Israel sent messengers to King Sihon of the Amorites, saying,

“ If your brother sins, go and show him his fault when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have regained your brother.But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you, so that at the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established.
