并不是我们凭自己配做什么事，我们之所以配做是出于上帝；

现在，耶和华—我的上帝啊，你使仆人接续我父亲大卫作王；但我是幼小的孩子，不知道应当怎样出入。仆人住在你拣选的百姓中，这百姓之多，多得不可点，不可算。所以求你赐仆人善于了解的心，可以判断你的百姓，辨别是非。不然，谁能判断你这么多的百姓呢？”

你们中间若有缺少智慧的，该求那厚赐与众人又不斥责人的上帝，上帝必赐给他。

大卫知道扫罗设计陷害他，就对亚比亚他祭司说：“把以弗得拿过来。”大卫说：“耶和华—以色列的上帝啊，你仆人确实听见扫罗设法要到基伊拉来，为我的缘故毁灭这城。基伊拉人会把我交在扫罗手里吗？扫罗会下来，正如你仆人所听见的吗？耶和华—以色列的上帝啊，求你指示仆人！”耶和华说：“他会下来。”大卫又说：“基伊拉人会把我和我的人交在扫罗手里吗？”耶和华说：“他们会交出来。”

各样美善的恩泽和各样完美的赏赐都是从上头来的，从众光之父那里降下来的；在他并没有改变，也没有转动的影儿。
