主我之天主使僕繼父大衛為王、我尚幼童、不知如何出入、僕居主所選之民中、其民甚眾、不可勝數、主之民眾多、孰能判斷其間乎、求主以智慧賜僕、能辨是非、為民折中、

若爾中有人智慧不足、當求天主、天主乃厚賜人而不責人者、必賜所求、

大衛知掃羅蓄謀害己、即謂祭司亞比亞他曰、攜以弗得至此、大衛禱曰、主以色列之天主歟、僕聞掃羅欲至基伊拉、因我之故、將滅此邑、基伊拉人將以僕付掃羅手乎、掃羅果如僕之所聞將至乎、求主以色列之天主指示僕人、主曰、掃羅必至、大衛又問曰、基伊拉人將以我與我從者付於掃羅手乎、主曰、必付、

凡美善之恩施、全備之賞賚、皆自上出、由光明之父而降、彼永無變易、無遷移之影、
