So the Lord became very angry with them. He handed them over to the Philistines and the Ammonites.

So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the Ammonites,

So the Lord burned with anger against Israel, and he turned them over to the Philistines and the Ammonites,

So the LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he sold them to the Philistines and the Ammonites.

And the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the sons of Ammon.

So the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel; and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the people of Ammon.

耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，就把他們交在搶奪他們的人手中，又將他們付與四圍仇敵的手中，甚至他們在仇敵面前再不能站立得住。

耶和華是忌邪施報的神。耶和華施報大有忿怒；向他的敵人施報，向他的仇敵懷怒。

他發忿恨，誰能立得住呢？他發烈怒，誰能當得起呢？他的忿怒如火傾倒；磐石因他崩裂。

你賣了你的子民也不賺利，所得的價值並不加添你的資財。

他們卻忘記耶和華－他們的神，他就把他們付與夏瑣將軍西西拉的手裏，和非利士人並摩押王的手裏。於是這些人常來攻擊他們。他們就呼求耶和華說：『我們離棄耶和華，事奉巴力和亞斯她錄，是有罪了。現在求你救我們脫離仇敵的手，我們必事奉你。』

耶和華如此說：我休你們的母親，休書在哪裏呢？我將你們賣給我哪一個債主呢？你們被賣，是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被休，是因你們的過犯。

耶和華又對摩西說：「你必和你列祖同睡。這百姓要起來，在他們所要去的地上，在那地的人中，隨從外邦神行邪淫，離棄我，違背我與他們所立的約。那時，我的怒氣必向他們發作；我也必離棄他們，掩面不顧他們，以致他們被吞滅，並有許多的禍患災難臨到他們。那日他們必說：『這些禍患臨到我們，豈不是因我們的神不在我們中間嗎？』那時，因他們偏向別神所行的一切惡，我必定掩面不顧他們。

敬拜別神，觸動神的憤恨，行可憎惡的事，惹了他的怒氣。所祭祀的鬼魔並非真神，乃是素不認識的神，是近來新興的，是你列祖所不畏懼的。你輕忽生你的磐石，忘記產你的神。耶和華看見他的兒女惹動他，就厭惡他們，說：我要向他們掩面，看他們的結局如何。他們本是極乖僻的族類，心中無誠實的兒女。他們以那「不算為神」的觸動我的憤恨，以虛無的神惹了我的怒氣。我也要以那「不成子民」的觸動他們的憤恨，以愚昧的國民惹了他們的怒氣。因為在我怒中有火燒起，直燒到極深的陰間，把地和地的出產盡都焚燒，山的根基也燒着了。

耶和華必不饒恕他；耶和華的怒氣與憤恨要向他發作，如煙冒出，將這書上所寫的一切咒詛都加在他身上。耶和華又要從天下塗抹他的名，也必照着寫在律法書上、約中的一切咒詛將他從以色列眾支派中分別出來，使他受禍。你們的後代，就是以後興起來的子孫，和遠方來的外人，看見這地的災殃，並耶和華所降與這地的疾病，又看見遍地有硫磺，有鹽鹵，有火跡，沒有耕種，沒有出產，連草都不生長－好像耶和華在忿怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣－所看見的人，連萬國人，都必問說：『耶和華為何向此地這樣行呢？這樣大發烈怒是甚麼意思呢？』人必回答說：『是因這地的人離棄了耶和華－他們列祖的神，領他們出埃及地的時候與他們所立的約，去事奉敬拜素不認識的別神，是耶和華所未曾給他們安排的。所以耶和華的怒氣向這地發作，將這書上所寫的一切咒詛都降在這地上。耶和華在怒氣、忿怒、大惱恨中將他們從本地拔出來，扔在別的地上，像今日一樣。』

神啊，你為何永遠丟棄我們呢？你為何向你草場的羊發怒，如煙冒出呢？

耶和華就把他們付與在夏瑣作王的迦南王耶賓手中；他的將軍是西西拉，住在外邦人的夏羅設。

耶和華－你們神所應許的一切福氣怎樣臨到你們身上，耶和華也必照樣使各樣禍患臨到你們身上，直到把你們從耶和華－你們神所賜的這美地上除滅。你們若違背耶和華－你們神吩咐你們所守的約，去事奉別神，叩拜他，耶和華的怒氣必向你們發作，使你們在他所賜的美地上速速滅亡。」
