亞撒聞俄德子先知亞撒利雅之預言、則強厥志、於猶大便雅憫全地、及以法蓮山地所得之邑、除諸可憎之物、重修廊前耶和華之壇、

以法蓮將曰、我與偶像猶有何涉、我耶和華既應之、必加眷顧、我若青松、爾將由我而結實、

既近、見城、則為之哭、

曰、爾中所有異族之神、今當去之、專心歸從以色列之上帝耶和華、

去除異邦之神、與耶和華室中之像、倂在耶和華室之山、及耶路撒冷所建諸壇、悉擲於城外、

我論一族、或論一國之時、言欲拔之、毀之、翦滅之、如彼邦族轉離其惡、我則回意、不降所言之災、

以法蓮為我之愛子乎、為可悅之子乎、我每言及、則深念之、心為之動、我必矜恤之、耶和華言之矣、○

耶和華見其民之力已廢、被束者、自由者、靡有孑遺、必為其民伸冤、為其僕回意、

故我不悅此代之人曰、其心常迷、不識我路、

乃悔造人於地、心焉憂之、

曰、葬於何處、曰、主來觀之、

彼此仁愛、慈惠、赦宥、如上帝緣基督赦爾也、

故主耶和華曰、以色列家歟、我必依各人所行而鞫之、爾其回轉、離棄諸罪、免愆尤之窒礙、以色列家歟、當棄所犯之罪、新爾心神、奚自取死、主耶和華曰、人之死亡、我所不悅、故當回轉、而得生存、

如我民以我名而稱者、自卑而禱、求我之面、離其惡行、我必自天垂聽、赦宥其罪、而治其地、

遂起而歸父、相去尚遠、父見而憫之、趨抱其頸而吻接之、
