But the Israelites said to the Lord,“ We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now.”

But the Israelites replied to the Lord,“ We have sinned. Do to us what you think is best. But please save us now.”

And the people of Israel said to the Lord,“ We have sinned; do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please deliver us this day.”

But the Israelites pleaded with the Lord and said,“ We have sinned. Punish us as you see fit, only rescue us today from our enemies.”

But the Israelites said,“ We have sinned. Deal with us as you see fit; only rescue us today!”

Then the sons of Israel said to the Lord,“ We have sinned, do to us whatever seems good to You; only please save us this day.”

And the children of Israel said to the Lord,“ We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.”

And the children of Israel said unto Jehovah, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; only deliver us, we pray thee, this day.

But the Israelites said,“ We have sinned. Deal with us as You see fit; only deliver us today!”

And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.

But the Israelites said to the LORD,“ We have sinned. You do to us as you see fit, but deliver us today!”

The children of Israel said to Yahweh,“ We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, please, today.”

於是撒母耳把一切話都告訴了他，沒有向他隱瞞。以利說：「他是耶和華，願他做自己眼中看為好的事吧。」

如果他說：『我不喜悅你』，看哪，我在這裡，就讓他照著他看為好的對待我吧！」

要堅強，我們要為我們的人民、為我們神的城鎮而堅強！願耶和華做他眼中看為好的事。」

我說：『我從你眼前被驅逐了；我卻要再次仰望你聖潔的殿！』

大衛數點軍兵之後，心中自責。大衛對耶和華說：「我做這事，犯了大罪！現在，耶和華啊，求你除去你僕人的罪孽，因我做了極其愚蠢的事！」

掩蓋自己過犯的，不會興盛；承認並離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

或許神會轉回、施憐憫，從他猛烈的怒氣中轉回，使我們不致滅亡。』」

大衛對迦得說：「這使我非常為難！還是讓我們落在耶和華手中吧，因為他有豐盛的憐憫；請不要讓我落在人的手中。」

大衛對拿單說：「我對耶和華犯了罪！」拿單對大衛說：「耶和華已經除去你的罪，你不會死。
