You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.

You too must be patient. You must remain strong. The Lord will soon come back.

The end of all things is near; therefore, be alert and sober-minded for prayer.

Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.

Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the LORD.

I wait for the LORD; I wait and put my hope in his word.

I waited patiently for the LORD, and he turned to me and heard my cry for help.He brought me up from a desolate pit, out of the muddy clay, and set my feet on a rock, making my steps secure.He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and they will trust in the LORD.

But I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the person who seeks him.It is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD.

Besides this, since you know the time, it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep, because now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.The night is nearly over, and the day is near; so let us discard the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.For if we deliberately go on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire about to consume the adversaries.Anyone who disregarded the law of Moses died without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, who has regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?For we know the one who has said, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, and again, The Lord will judge his people.It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.Remember the earlier days when, after you had been enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings.Sometimes you were publicly exposed to taunts and afflictions, and at other times you were companions of those who were treated that way.For you sympathized with the prisoners and accepted with joy the confiscation of your possessions, because you know that you yourselves have a better and enduring possession.So don’t throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised.For yet in a very little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.

I wait for your salvation, LORD.

For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late.

May the Lord direct your hearts to God’s love and Christ’s endurance.

Now if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead— Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

May he make your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints. Amen.

He who testifies about these things says,“ Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
