No!”But just as sure as God is faithful, our message to you is not“ Yes” and“ No.”Silas, Timothy and I preached to you about the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Our message did not say“ Yes” and“ No” at the same time. The message of Christ has always been“ Yes.”God has made a great many promises. They are all“ Yes” because of what Christ has done. So through Christ we say“ Amen.” We want God to receive glory.

“ How terrible for you, blind guides! You say,‘ If anyone makes a promise in the name of the temple, it means nothing. But anyone who makes a promise in the name of the gold of the temple must keep that promise.’You are blind and foolish! Which is more important? Is it the gold? Or is it the temple that makes the gold holy?You also say,‘ If anyone makes a promise in the name of the altar, it means nothing. But anyone who makes a promise in the name of the gift on the altar must keep that promise.’You are blind! Which is more important? Is it the gift? Or is it the altar that makes the gift holy?So anyone making a promise in the name of the altar makes a promise in the name of it and everything on it.And anyone making a promise in the name of the temple makes a promise in the name of it and the one who lives in it.And anyone making a promise in the name of heaven makes a promise in the name of God’s throne and the one who sits on it.

Anyone who is hungry should eat something at home. Then when you come together, you will not be judged. When I come, I will give you more directions.

Most of all, love one another deeply. Love erases many sins by forgiving them.

My brothers and sisters, most of you shouldn’t become teachers. That’s because you know that those of us who teach will be held more accountable.All of us get tripped up in many ways. Suppose someone is never wrong in what they say. Then they are perfect. They are able to keep their whole body under control.
