Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

人若知道行善，却不去行，这就是他的罪了。

蓋知善而不行者罪也、

見善不行、即為惡、

知何以行善而不行之者、即為有罪、

人如見善不為、即罪也。

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

So suppose someone knows the good deeds they should do. But suppose they don’t do them. By not doing these good deeds, they sin.

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

So it is sin to know the good and yet not do it.

So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.

To him therefore that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

So it is a sin for the person who knows to do what is good and doesn’t do it.

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth[ it] not, to him it is sin.

So whoever knows what is good to do and does not do it is guilty of sin.

To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin.

Jesus said to them,“ If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say,‘ We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.

who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God,and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law.You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?You who say,“ Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law?

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.
