To him therefore that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

蓋知善而不行者罪也、

見善不行、即為惡、

知何以行善而不行之者、即為有罪、

人如見善不為、即罪也。

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

So suppose someone knows the good deeds they should do. But suppose they don’t do them. By not doing these good deeds, they sin.

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

So it is sin to know the good and yet not do it.

So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.

Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

So it is a sin for the person who knows to do what is good and doesn’t do it.

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth[ it] not, to him it is sin.

So whoever knows what is good to do and does not do it is guilty of sin.

To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin.

Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye would have no sin: but now ye say, We see: your sin remaineth.

If ye know these things, blessed are ye if ye do them.

For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.

who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.

And that servant, who knew his lord’s will, and made not ready, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;but he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And to whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom they commit much, of him will they ask the more.

But if thou bearest the name of a Jew, and restest upon the law, and gloriest in God,and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth;thou therefore that teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou rob temples?thou who gloriest in the law, through thy transgression of the law dishonorest thou God?

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.

Did then that which is good become death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, by working death to me through that which is good;— that through the commandment sin might become exceeding sinful.
