不要为明天自夸，因为你不知道每天会发生何事。

他们彼此商量说：“来，让我们来做砖，把砖烧透了。”他们就拿砖当石头，又拿柏油当泥浆。他们说：“来，让我们建造一座城和一座塔，塔顶通天。我们要为自己立名，免得我们分散在全地面上。”

那时，百姓如何，祭司也如何；仆人如何，主人也如何；婢女如何，主母也如何；买主如何，卖主也如何；放债的如何，借贷的也如何；债主如何，欠债的也如何。

我心里说：“来吧，让我用喜乐试试你，使你享福！”看哪，这也是虚空。

注意！你们这些富足人哪，要为将要临到你们身上的灾难哭泣、号啕。

哀哭的，不像在哀哭；快乐的，不像在快乐；购买的，像一无所得；

来，我们下去，在那里变乱他们的语言，使他们彼此语言不通。”

现在我告诉你们，我要向我的葡萄园怎么做。我必撤去篱笆，使它被烧毁；拆毁围墙，使它被践踏。

时候到了，日子近了，买主不可欢喜，卖主也不用愁烦，因为烈怒已经临到他们众人身上。

这些狗贪食，不知饱足。这些牧人不知明辨，他们都偏行己路，人人追求自己的利益。他们说：“来吧！我去拿酒，让我们畅饮烈酒吧！明天必和今天一样，甚至更好！”
