Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

所以，你們要除去一切的惡毒，一切詭詐、假善、嫉妒，和一切毀謗的話。

願說惡言的人在地上站立不住；願禍患獵取殘暴的人，把他打倒。

所以，你這評斷人的人哪，無論你是誰，都無可推諉。你在甚麼事上評斷人，就在甚麼事上定自己的罪。因你這評斷人的，自己所做的卻和別人一樣。

弟兄們，你們不要彼此埋怨，免得受審判。看哪，審判的主站在門口了。

所以，時候未到，在主來以前甚麼都不要評斷，他要照出暗中的隱情，揭發人的動機。那時，各人要從上帝那裏得着稱讚。

一切苦毒、憤怒、惱恨、嚷鬧、毀謗，和一切的惡毒都要從你們中間除掉。

「你們不要評斷別人，免得你們被審判。因為你們怎樣評斷別人，也必怎樣被審判；你們用甚麼量器量給人，也必用甚麼量器量給你們。

「你們不要評斷別人，就不被審判；你們不要定人的罪，就不被定罪；你們要饒恕人，就必蒙饒恕。

我怕我再來的時候，見你們不合我所期望的，而你們見我也不合你們所期望的。我怕有紛爭、嫉妒、憤怒、自私、毀謗、讒言、狂傲、動亂的事。

沒有親情，抗拒和解，好說讒言，不能節制，性情兇暴，不愛良善，

可是你，你為甚麼評斷弟兄呢？你又為甚麼輕看弟兄呢？因我們都要站在上帝的審判臺前。經上寫着：「主說，我指着我的永生起誓：萬膝必向我跪拜；萬口必稱頌上帝。」這樣看來，我們各人一定要把自己的事在上帝面前交代。

同樣，女執事也必須莊重，不說閒話，有節制，凡事忠心。

這樣看來，律法是聖的，誡命也是聖的、義的、善的。那麼，那善的是叫我死嗎？絕對不是！叫我死的是罪。罪藉着那善的叫我死，為要顯出這真是罪，以致罪藉着誡命更顯出是惡極了。

這樣，我們要怎麼說呢？律法是罪嗎？絕對不是！但是，若不是藉着律法，我就不知何為罪；若不是律法說「不可貪心」，我就不知何為貪心。

吃的人不可輕看不吃的人；不吃的人也不可評斷吃的人，因為上帝已經接納他了。你是誰，竟評斷別人的僕人呢？他或站立或跌倒，自有他的主人在，而且他也必會站立，因為主能使他站穩。

原來在上帝面前，不是聽律法的為義，而是行律法的稱義。

惟有查看那完美、使人自由的律法，並且時常遵守的，他不是聽了就忘，而是切實行出來，這樣的人在所行的事上必然蒙福。

又要勸年長的婦女在操守上恭正，不說讒言，不作酒的奴隸，用善道教導人，

但是，你們要作行道的人，不要只作聽道的人，自己欺騙自己。因為只聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子觀看自己本來的面目，
