With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.

蓋爾屢詛人、爾心自知之、○

彼得詛且誓曰、我不識其人也、鷄即鳴、

因其口之罪、脣之辭、及其呪詛誑誕、任其為驕慢所縛兮、

男固不宜蒙首、以其為上帝之像與榮、而女則為男之榮、

洗魯雅子亞比篩曰、耶和華之受膏者、示每詛之、可不致之死乎、

口盈呪詛荼苦、

惟我語汝、敵爾者愛之、窘逐爾者、為之祈禱、

呪詛詭譎殘刻盈其口、很毒邪慝在其舌、

上帝曰、宜造人、其形其象肖我儕、以治海魚飛鳥牲畜、及動於地上之昆蟲、並治全地、遂造人、維肖乎己、象上帝形、造男亦造女、

大衛在會眾前、稱頌耶和華曰、我祖以色列之上帝耶和華歟、爾宜稱頌、永世靡暨、

我舌終日必述爾義、謀害我者、受辱蒙羞兮、

故我心喜、而舌悅、形軀恆於望中、

上帝歟、我心堅定、必以我靈謳歌頌美兮、

我畢生頌美爾、奉爾名而舉手兮、

我恆頌耶和華、讚美之言、常在我口兮、

亞當之裔、其譜如左、上帝造人、乃肖其象、

惟好呪詛、而詛臨之、不喜祝福、而福遠之兮、彼以呪詛為衣、呪詛如水入其臟、如油入其骨兮、

我靈其起、琴瑟其興、我企望黎明兮、

上帝拯我之上帝歟、宥我流血之罪、我口大聲歌頌爾公義兮、

俾我靈歌頌爾、而不緘默、耶和華我上帝歟、我將稱謝爾、永世靡暨兮、

祝頌上帝我主耶穌基督之父、曾由基督祝我以在天屬神之諸福、

我王上帝歟、我必尊崇爾、永久稱頌爾名兮、

我口必頌美耶和華、願凡有血氣者、稱頌其聖名、永世靡已兮、

主曰、斯民以口親我、以脣尊我、而心則遠我、彼之畏我、乃從人所授之命耳、

祝頌我主耶穌基督之父上帝、依其鴻慈、由耶穌基督自死復起、重生我儕、致獲維生之望、
