一艘大船在遭遇暴风吹袭时，船身虽然庞大，但舵手只要操纵一个小小的舵，就能随意驾驶它。

看哪，船只虽然甚大，又被大风催逼，只用小小的舵，就随着掌舵的意思转动。

再看船只，虽然甚大，又被强风猛吹，只用小小的舵就随着掌舵的意思转动。

试看，船只虽然甚大，又被狂风催逼，舵手只用小小的舵，就可以随意操纵。

再看船只，虽然它那么大，又被狂风吹逐，但是无论舵手的意图想去哪里，它都能被小小的舵来驾驭。

看哪，船隻雖然甚大，又被大風催逼，只用小小的舵，就隨着掌舵的意思轉動。

一艘大船在遭遇暴風吹襲時，船身雖然龐大，但舵手只要操縱一個小小的舵，就能隨意駕駛它。

試看，船隻雖然甚大，又被狂風催逼，舵手只用小小的舵，就可以隨意操縱。

你看，就是船隻雖那麼大，又被強硬的風催逼着，也能被小小的舵所調導，向掌舵者的意思所願去的方向走。

再看船隻，雖然它那麼大，又被狂風吹逐，但是無論舵手的意圖想去哪裡，它都能被小小的舵來駕馭。

試觀諸舟如彼其大、且為狂風所盪、運以小舵、則隨舵師所欲、

雖有巨舟、為狂風動盪、而小舵得以運轉、隨舟子指揮、

舟雖大、且為狂風飄蕩、而小舵得以運轉、隨舵師所欲、

舟身雖大、且為暴風所驅、而舵師宴然把一小舵、亦能駕駛自如。

Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.

And how about ships? They are very big. They are driven along by strong winds. But they are steered by a very small rudder. It makes them go where the captain wants to go.

Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.

And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong.

And consider ships: Though very large and driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.

Look at the ships too: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are nevertheless directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot determines.

Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.

Behold, the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, are yet turned about by a very small rudder, whither the impulse of the steersman willeth.

And consider ships: Though very large and driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.

祂一声令下，狂风大作，巨浪滔天。他们的船只忽而被抛向半空，忽而落入深渊，他们吓得面无人色，东倒西歪，如同醉汉，束手无策。

然而，耶和华使海面起了狂风，滔天巨浪几乎把船打成碎片。

可是出发不久，便遇到从岛上刮来的猛烈的东北风，船被刮得失去控制，我们只好任船随风漂流。船沿着一个叫高达的小岛的背风面前进，大家好不容易才控制住救生船。水手把救生船拉上甲板后，又用绳索加固船身。因为怕船会在赛耳底搁浅，于是收起船帆，任船漂流。第二天，风浪依然猛烈，他们开始把货物抛进海里。第三天，他们又亲手把船上的用具也抛掉了。一连好几天都看不到太阳、星辰，风浪肆虐，我们完全放弃了得救的指望。这时大家已经多日没有进食，保罗站在他们当中说：“各位当初如果肯听我劝，不离开克里特，就不会遭受这些损失了。现在我劝大家放心，你们无人会丧命，只是这艘船保不住了。因为昨天晚上，我所归属、所事奉的上帝差遣天使站在我身旁，对我说，‘保罗，不用怕，你一定会站在凯撒面前，上帝也会保全所有和你同船的人。’所以请各位放心，我深信上帝所说的话必然会成就。只是我们一定会在某个岛上搁浅。”第十四天的晚上，我们在亚得里亚海漂来漂去。到了午夜时分，水手都觉得离陆地不远了，就探测水深，结果约三十六米深，再往前一点，只有二十七米左右。他们怕会触礁，就从船尾抛下四个锚，暂停前进，期待天亮。水手们想要弃船逃生，假装要从船头抛锚，却偷偷地把救生船放到海里。保罗对百夫长和士兵们说：“除非他们留下来，否则你们都活不了！”士兵听了，就砍断绳索，让救生船漂走。到了黎明时分，保罗劝大家吃东西，说：“你们提心吊胆、不思饮食已经十四天了。我劝你们吃点东西，好活下去，你们必定毫发无损。”保罗说完后拿起饼，当众感谢上帝，然后掰开吃。于是大家都振作起来，吃了些东西。船上共有二百七十六人。吃饱了以后，为了要减轻船的重量，他们把麦子抛进海里。

忽然，湖面上狂风大作，波涛汹涌，船快要被巨浪吞没，耶稣却在睡觉。
