We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

All of us get tripped up in many ways. Suppose someone is never wrong in what they say. Then they are perfect. They are able to keep their whole body under control.

For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.

因為“凡希望享受人生，要看見好日子的，就要禁止舌頭不出惡言，嘴唇不說詭詐的話；

因為你要照你的話被稱為義，或定為有罪。”

照樣，舌頭雖然是個小肢體，卻會說誇大的話。試看，星星之火，可以燎原；舌頭就是火，在我們百體中，是個不義的世界，能污穢全身，把整個生命在運轉中焚燒起來，而且是被地獄之火點燃的。

“如果你的子民得罪了你（沒有不犯罪的世人），你向他們發怒，把他們交給仇敵，以致仇敵把他們擄到仇敵的地方，或是遠或是近，

但忍耐要堅持到底（“堅持到底”原文作“有完全的功效”），使你們可以完全，毫無缺乏。

但聖經把所有的人都圈在罪中，好把那因信耶穌基督而來的應許，賜給相信的人。

世上實在沒有一個行善而不犯罪的義人。

正如經上所說：“沒有義人，連一個也沒有，

就應謹守舌頭，不出惡言，嘴唇不說欺詐的話。

誰能說：“我潔淨了我的心，我是清潔無罪的”？

因此，我發現了一個律，就是我想向善的時候，惡就在我裡面出現。

我要克制自己的身體，叫身體服我，免得我傳了給別人，自己反而落選了。

我們眾人都像不潔淨的人，我們所有的義，都像污穢的衣服；我們眾人都像葉子枯乾，我們的罪孽好像風一般把我們吹去。

我們傳揚他，是用各樣的智慧，勸戒各人，教導各人，為了要使各人在基督裡得到完全。

“如果你的子民得罪了你（因為世上沒有不犯罪的人），你向他們發怒，把他們交在仇敵面前，以致仇敵把他們擄到外地或遠或近；

因為肉體的私慾和聖靈敵對，聖靈也和肉體敵對；這兩樣互相敵對，使你們不能作自己願意作的。

因為凡是遵守全部律法的，只要在一條上失足，就違犯所有的了。

在一切善事上成全你們，好使你們遵行他的旨意；又藉著耶穌基督在我們裡面，行他所喜悅的事。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

以巴弗問候你們，他是你們那裡的人，是基督耶穌的僕人；他禱告的時候，常常竭力為你們祈求，好使你們在神的一切旨意中完全站穩，滿有堅定的信念。

但滿有恩典的神，就是在基督裡召你們進入他永遠榮耀的那一位，在你們受了短暫的苦難之後，必定親自成全你們，堅固你們，賜力量給你們，建立你們。
