My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree produce olives? Can a grapevine produce figs? Of course not. And a saltwater spring can’t produce fresh water either.

Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.

Does a fig tree produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can’t draw fresh water from a salty spring.

“没有好树结坏果子，也没有坏树结好果子。每一种树木可以从其果子看出来。人不是从荆棘上摘无花果的，也不是从蒺藜里摘葡萄的。

岂能在荆棘上摘葡萄呢？岂能在蒺藜里摘无花果呢？凭着他们的果子，就可以认出他们来。这样，凡好树都结好果子，而坏树结坏果子。好树不能结坏果子，坏树也不能结好果子。凡不结好果子的树就砍下来，丢在火里。所以，凭着他们的果子就可以认出他们来。”

然而，我栽种你为上等的葡萄树，全用纯正的种子；你怎么向我变为外邦葡萄树的坏枝子呢？

“你们知道树好，果子也好；又知道树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

所献的新面若圣洁，整个面团都圣洁了；树根若圣洁，树枝也圣洁了。若有几根枝子被折下来，你这野橄榄枝接上去，同享橄榄根的肥汁，你就不可向旧枝子夸口；若是夸口，该知道不是你托着根，而是根托着你。

他刨挖园子，清除石头，栽种上等的葡萄树，在园中盖了一座楼，又凿出酒池；指望它结葡萄，反倒结了野葡萄。耶路撒冷的居民和犹大人哪，现在，请你们在我与我的葡萄园之间断定是非。我为我葡萄园所做的之外，还有什么可做的呢？我指望它结葡萄，怎么倒结了野葡萄呢？

到了玛拉，他们不能喝玛拉的水，因为水是苦的；所以那地名叫玛拉。百姓就向摩西发怨言，说：“我们喝什么呢？”摩西呼求耶和华，耶和华指示他一棵树。他把树丢在水里，水就变甜了。耶和华在那里为他们定了律例、典章，在那里考验他们。

耶利哥城的人对以利沙说：“看哪，这城的地势美好，正如我主所看见的，只是水质恶劣，地也没有生产。”以利沙说：“你们拿一个新的瓶子来，里面装盐。”他们就拿给他。他出去到了水源，把盐倒在那里，说：“耶和华如此说：‘我治好了这水，从那里不会再有死亡和不生产的事了。’”于是那水治好了，直到今日，正如以利沙所说的话。

他对我说：“这水往东方流，下到亚拉巴，直到海。所流出来的水，一入海就使水变淡。这两条河所到之处，凡滋生的动物都必存活；这水流到那里，使那里的水变淡，因此里面有极多的鱼。这河水所到之处，百物都必存活。必有渔夫站在河边，从隐‧基底直到隐‧以革莲，全都成了晒网的场所。那里的鱼各从其类，好像大海的鱼甚多。但是沼泽与池塘的水无法变淡，只能作产盐之用。
