同一張嘴竟然又稱頌主，又咒詛人；我的弟兄們，這是不應該的！

祝頌和咒詛都從同一個口裏出來：我的弟兄們，這是不該這樣的。

祝與詛均出一口、我兄弟乎、此非所宜也、

兄弟乎讚美與咒詛、同出一口、有是理乎？

要祝福迫害你們的，要祝福，不可詛咒。

不要以惡報惡，以辱罵還辱罵，倒要祝福，因為你們正是為此蒙召的，好使你們承受福氣。

但神對惡人說：「你怎敢傳講我的律例，口中提到我的約呢？其實你恨惡管教，將我的言語拋在腦後。你見了盜賊就樂意與他同夥，又和行姦淫的人同流合污。「你的口出惡言，你的舌編造詭詐。你坐着，毀謗你的兄弟，讒害你親母的兒子。

因為你們仍是屬肉體的。你們中間有嫉妒、紛爭，這豈不是屬乎肉體，照着世人的樣子生活嗎？

同時，她們又學了懶惰，習慣於挨家閒逛；不但懶惰，而且說長道短，好管閒事，說些不該說的話。

不要倚靠虛謊的話，說：『這是耶和華的殿，是耶和華的殿，是耶和華的殿！』「你們若實在改正你們的所作所為，彼此誠然施行公平，不欺壓寄居的和孤兒寡婦，不在這地方流無辜人的血，也不隨從別神陷害自己，我就使你們仍然居住這地，就是我從古時所賜給你們祖先的地，從永遠到永遠。「看哪，你們倚靠虛謊無益的話語。你們豈可偷盜，殺害，姦淫，起假誓，向巴力燒香，隨從素不認識的別神，又來到這稱為我名下的殿，在我面前敬拜，說『我們平安無事』，為了要行這一切可憎的事呢？

城裏的領袖為賄賂行審判，祭司為酬勞施訓誨，先知為銀錢行占卜；他們卻倚賴耶和華，說：「耶和華不是在我們中間嗎？災禍必不臨到我們。」

亞比米勒召了亞伯拉罕來，對他說：「你怎麼向我這樣做呢？我甚麼事得罪你，你竟使我和我的國陷在大罪中呢？你對我做了不該做的事了！」

她瑪對他說：「哥哥，不可以！不要玷辱我！以色列中不可以這樣做，你不要做這醜事！
