But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.

But you sin if you don’t treat everyone the same. The law judges you because you have broken it.

But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

But if you favor some people over others, you are committing a sin. You are guilty of breaking the law.

If, however, you show favoritism, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

For apart from the law, sin is dead.I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.The commandment which was for life, this I found to be for death;for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingly sinful.

Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.
