But you have dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who drag you into court?

你们反倒羞辱贫穷人。那富足人岂不是欺压你们、拉你们到公堂去吗？

爾竟辱貧人、富者非欺壓爾、曳爾至公庭乎、

而爾等竟敢輕慢貧人！夫富人非即以勢凌爾、扭爾以至公庭者乎？

But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?

What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, I will not.

You would shame the plans of the poor, but the Lord is his refuge.

Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.

Therefore because you trample on the poor and you exact taxes of grain from him, you have built houses of hewn stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink their wine.

But you do see, for you note mischief and vexation, that you may take it into your hands; to you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless.

Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth, or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.

and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say,“ You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man,“ You stand over there,” or,“ Sit down at my feet,”

The Lord will enter into judgment with the elders and princes of his people:“ It is you who have devoured the vineyard, the spoil of the poor is in your houses.What do you mean by crushing my people, by grinding the face of the poor?” declares the Lord God of hosts.

Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.

The helpless are crushed, sink down, and fall by his might.

“ Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who say to your husbands,‘ Bring, that we may drink!’

If you see in a province the oppression of the poor and the violation of justice and righteousness, do not be amazed at the matter, for the high official is watched by a higher, and there are yet higher ones over them.

Then the captain with the officers went and brought them, but not by force, for they were afraid of being stoned by the people.And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them,

And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them,greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.And they arrested them and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening.

For he has crushed and abandoned the poor; he has seized a house that he did not build.

Jesus answered,“ I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.
