So the Scripture was fulfilled which says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.

And the scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.

That is what Scripture means where it says,“ Abraham believed God. God accepted Abraham because he believed. So his faith made him right with God.”( Genesis 15:6) And that’s not all. God called Abraham his friend.

And so it happened just as the Scriptures say:“ Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.

Even as Abraham“ believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”

For what does the Scripture say?“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as something owed.But to him who doesn’t work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works,

Therefore it also was“ credited to him for righteousness.”Now it was not written that it was accounted to him for his sake alone,but for our sake also, to whom it will be accounted, who believe in him who raised Jesus, our Lord, from the dead,

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

Yahweh spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. He turned again into the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, didn’t depart from the Tent.

With him they crucified two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.

He began to tell them,“ Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

that he would maintain the right of a man with God, of a son of man with his neighbor!

Haven’t you even read this Scripture:‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner.

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh,“ For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying,“ In you all the nations will be blessed.”So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

God didn’t reject his people, which he foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel:

How then was it counted? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they might be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.

“ Brothers, it was necessary that this Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was guide to those who took Jesus.

But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Every Scripture is God- breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness,

Because it is contained in Scripture,“ Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen and precious: He who believes in him will not be disappointed.”
