And the scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.

That is what Scripture means where it says,“ Abraham believed God. God accepted Abraham because he believed. So his faith made him right with God.”( Genesis 15:6) And that’s not all. God called Abraham his friend.

and the Scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”— and he was called a friend of God.

And so it happened just as the Scriptures say:“ Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.

亞伯蘭信耶和華，耶和華就以此算他為義。

惟你以色列，我的僕人，雅各，我所揀選的，我朋友亞伯拉罕的後裔，

我們的上帝啊，你不是曾在你百姓以色列面前驅逐這地的居民，將這地賜給你朋友亞伯拉罕的後裔永遠為業嗎？

正如亞伯拉罕「信了上帝，這就算他為義」。

經上說甚麼呢？「亞伯拉罕信了上帝，這就算他為義。」做工的得工資不算是恩典，而是應得的；但那不做工的，只信那位稱不敬虔之人為義的，他的信就算為義。正如大衛稱那在行為之外蒙上帝算為義的人是有福的：

所以這也就算他為義。「算他為義」這句話不是單為他寫的，也是為我們將來得算為義的人寫的，就是為我們這些信上帝使我們的主耶穌從死人中復活的人寫的。

人為朋友捨命，人的愛心沒有比這個更大的了。你們若遵行我所命令的，就是我的朋友。以後我不再稱你們為僕人，因為僕人不知道主人所做的事；但我稱你們為朋友，因為我從我父所聽見的一切都已經讓你們知道了。

耶和華與摩西面對面說話，好像人與朋友說話。摩西回到營裏去，他的年輕助手嫩的兒子約書亞卻沒有離開會幕。

他們又把兩個強盜和他同釘十字架，一個在右邊，一個在左邊。

耶穌對他們說：「你們聽見的這段經文，今天已經應驗了。」

願人可與上帝理論，如同人與朋友一樣；

『匠人所丟棄的石頭已作了房角的頭塊石頭。這是主所做的，在我們眼中看為奇妙。』這經文你們沒有念過嗎？」

因為經上有話對法老說：「我將你興起來，特要在你身上彰顯我的權能，為要使我的名傳遍全地。」

聖經既然預先看見上帝要使外邦人因信稱義，預先傳福音給亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國都必因你得福。」可見，那有信心的人和有信心的亞伯拉罕一同得福。凡出於律法的行為都是受詛咒的，因為經上記着：「凡不持守律法書上所記的一切而去行的，都是受詛咒的。」

上帝並沒有棄絕他預先所知道的百姓。你們豈不知道經上論到以利亞是怎麼說的呢？他在上帝面前怎樣控告以色列人說：

那麼，這是怎麼算的呢？是在他受割禮的時候呢？還是在他未受割禮的時候呢？不是在受割禮的時候，而是在未受割禮的時候。並且，他受了割禮的記號，作他未受割禮的時候因信稱義的印證，為使他作一切未受割禮而信之人的父，使他們也算為義，

「諸位弟兄，聖經的話必須應驗。聖經中，聖靈曾藉大衛的口預先說到那領人來拿耶穌的猶大；

但聖經把萬物都圈在罪裏，為要使因信耶穌基督而來的應許歸給信的人。

聖經都是上帝所默示的，於教訓、督責、使人歸正、教導人學義都是有益的，

因為經上說：「看哪，我把一塊石頭放在錫安－一塊蒙揀選、珍貴的房角石；信靠他的人必不蒙羞。」
