And the scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.

That is what Scripture means where it says,“ Abraham believed God. God accepted Abraham because he believed. So his faith made him right with God.”( Genesis 15:6) And that’s not all. God called Abraham his friend.

亞伯蘭信耶和華、耶和華以此為其義、

我僕以色列、我所選之雅各、我友亞伯拉罕之裔歟、

我上帝歟、斯土居民、爾非逐於爾民以色列前、以此地錫予爾友亞伯拉罕之裔、至於永久乎、

如亞伯拉罕信上帝、遂以義歸之、

故因其信以之為義、夫經所載以之為義者、不第為彼、亦為我儕、即信使我主耶穌自死而起者、亦將以之為義也、

人為友捐生、愛莫大於此者、爾若行我所命、即我友也、今而後我不謂爾為僕、蓋僕不知其主所行、乃謂爾為友、以所聞於父者、悉已示爾、

耶和華與摩西覿面相語、如人與友言、摩西歸營、惟嫩之子少者約書亞、為其侍從、弗離於幕、○

有二盜同釘、一左一右、

耶穌謂之曰、是經今日應於爾耳矣、

願上帝為人辨冤於其前、並在人之鄰里中、

經云、工師所棄之石、成為屋隅首石、

蓋經諭法老云、我之興爾、特彰我能於爾、揚我名於天下、

且經預知上帝將由信而義異邦、遂預宣福音於亞伯拉罕云、諸邦將由爾受福、是由乎信者、得與有信之亞伯拉罕同受福矣、凡由行律者服詛、記有之、不恆於律之所載而悉行者見詛、

上帝未棄其所預知之民、爾豈不知經指以利亞所云、其籲上帝、而訟以色列人曰、

何以為義、在割乎、抑在未割乎、非在割、乃在未割也、且亞伯拉罕受割之號、即其未受割、因信為義之印證、使為凡未割而信者之父、致彼稱義、

曰、兄弟乎、聖神以大衛之口預言、引人執耶穌之猶大、此經得驗、宜也、

但經囿萬有於罪中、俾所許由信耶穌基督而賜諸信者、○

凡由上帝所感之聖經、有益於訓誨、督責、反正、習義、

經云、我以所選而寶之屋隅首石、置於錫安、信之者不啟羞、
