And the scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.

That is what Scripture means where it says,“ Abraham believed God. God accepted Abraham because he believed. So his faith made him right with God.”( Genesis 15:6) And that’s not all. God called Abraham his friend.

And so it happened just as the Scriptures say:“ Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.

亚伯兰信耶和华，耶和华就以此为他的义。

惟你以色列我的仆人，雅各我所拣选的，我朋友亚伯拉罕的后裔，

我们的神啊，你不是曾在你民以色列人面前驱逐这地的居民，将这地赐给你朋友亚伯拉罕的后裔永远为业吗？

正如“亚伯拉罕信神，这就算为他的义”。

经上说什么呢？说：“亚伯拉罕信神，这就算为他的义。”做工的得工价，不算恩典，乃是该得的；惟有不做工的，只信称罪人为义的神，他的信就算为义。正如大卫称那在行为以外蒙神算为义的人是有福的。

所以，这就算为他的义。“算为他义”的这句话不是单为他写的，也是为我们将来得算为义之人写的，就是我们这信神使我们的主耶稣从死里复活的人。

人为朋友舍命，人的爱心没有比这个大的。你们若遵行我所吩咐的，就是我的朋友了。以后我不再称你们为仆人，因仆人不知道主人所做的事。我乃称你们为朋友；因我从我父所听见的，已经都告诉你们了。

耶和华与摩西面对面说话，好像人与朋友说话一般。摩西转到营里去，惟有他的帮手一个少年人嫩的儿子约书亚不离开会幕。

他们又把两个强盗和他同钉十字架，一个在右边，一个在左边。

耶稣对他们说：“今天这经应验在你们耳中了。”

愿人得与神辩白，如同人与朋友辩白一样；

经上写着说：‘匠人所弃的石头已作了房角的头块石头。

因为经上有话向法老说：“我将你兴起来，特要在你身上彰显我的权能，并要使我的名传遍天下。”

并且圣经既然预先看明，神要叫外邦人因信称义，就早已传福音给亚伯拉罕，说：“万国都必因你得福。”可见那以信为本的人和有信心的亚伯拉罕一同得福。凡以行律法为本的，都是被咒诅的；因为经上记着：“凡不常照律法书上所记一切之事去行的，就被咒诅。”

神并没有弃绝他预先所知道的百姓。你们岂不晓得经上论到以利亚是怎么说的呢？他在神面前怎样控告以色列人说：

是怎么算的呢？是在他受割礼的时候呢？是在他未受割礼的时候呢？不是在受割礼的时候，乃是在未受割礼的时候。并且他受了割礼的记号，作他未受割礼的时候因信称义的印证，叫他作一切未受割礼而信之人的父，使他们也算为义；

说：“弟兄们！圣灵藉大卫的口，在圣经上预言领人捉拿耶稣的犹大，这话是必须应验的。

但圣经把众人都圈在罪里，使所应许的福因信耶稣基督，归给那信的人。

圣经都是神所默示的，于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义都是有益的，

因为经上说：“看哪，我把所拣选、所宝贵的房角石安放在锡安；信靠他的人必不至于羞愧。”
