But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is barren?

愚蠢的人啊，你们不知道没有行为的信心是死的吗？

愚昧的人哪，你愿意知道没有行为的信心是没有用的吗？

唉，你这虚空的人哪！你想知道没有行为的信仰是无用的吗？

虛浮的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是死的嗎？

你這虛浮的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是沒有用的嗎？

你這虛浮的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是沒有用的嗎？

愚蠢的人啊，你們不知道沒有行為的信心是死的嗎？

愚昧的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是沒有用的嗎？

虛妄的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是不行的麼？

唉，你這虛空的人哪！你想知道沒有行為的信仰是無用的嗎？

虛誕之人歟、豈不知行外之信乃死乎、

虛誕之人乎、爾當知信而不行、其信歸於無有、

無知者乎、爾欲知無行之信乃死乎、

嗚呼、爾亦淺人也已！爾亦知無行之信、乃為空虛無實乎？

You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?

You foolish person! Do you want proof that faith without good deeds is useless?

Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?

How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

Senseless person! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?

But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?

But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

But would you like evidence, you empty fellow, that faith without works is useless?

But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?

He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread; But he that followeth after vain persons is void of understanding.

because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.

For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.

Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead in itself.

Thus saith Jehovah, What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

from which things some having swerved have turned aside unto vain talking;

For he knoweth false men: He seeth iniquity also, even though he consider it not.But vain man is void of understanding, Yea, man is born as a wild ass’s colt.

For there are many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision,

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.

Take heed lest there shall be any one that maketh spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ:

Consider, ye brutish among the people; And ye fools, when will ye be wise?He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?He that chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct, Even he that teacheth man knowledge?Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, That they are vanity.

If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man’s religion is vain.

For if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what manner of body do they come?Thou foolish one, that which thou thyself sowest is not quickened except it die:
