and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it?

你们只是对他们说：“安心走吧，愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不帮助他解决实际困难，这有什么用呢？

而你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱。”却不给他们身体所需用的，那有什么用处呢？

而你们当中有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖、吃得饱！”，却不给他们身体所需要的，这有什么好处呢？

爾中或語之曰、安然而往、願爾溫飽、而不予以身之所需、則何益哉、

而爾曰、安然以往、願爾得溫飽、如不以彼所需賜之、何益之有、

爾中有人謂之曰、安然以往、願爾溫飽、不以其身所需予之、何益之有、

而爾謂之曰：『安心以去、吾信汝必得溫飽；』而不給以切身所需之物、則亦何所裨益。

If one of you says to them,“ Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?

Suppose one of you says to them,“ Go. I hope everything turns out fine for you. Keep warm. Eat well.” And suppose you do nothing about what they really need. Then what good have you done?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?

and you say,“ Good bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”— but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, stay warm, and be well fed,” but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?

and one of you says to them,“ Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?

And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be[ ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what[ doth it] profit?

and one of you tells them,“ Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;” yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?

Do not withhold good from those who need it, when you have the ability to help.Do not say to your neighbor,“ Go! Return tomorrow and I will give it,” when you have it with you at the time.

We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person?Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue but in deed and truth.

For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink.I was a stranger and you did not receive me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’Then they too will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not give you whatever you needed?’Then he will answer them,‘ I tell you the truth, just as you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for me.’

Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil, cling to what is good.

I am not saying this as a command, but I am testing the genuineness of your love by comparison with the eagerness of others.

Then Jesus called the disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days and they have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry since they may faint on the way.”

When evening arrived, his disciples came to him saying,“ This is an isolated place and the hour is already late. Send the crowds away so that they can go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”But he replied,“ They don’t need to go. You give them something to eat.”

You gave the weary no water to drink and from the hungry you withheld food.Although you were a powerful man, owning land, an honored man living on it,you sent widows away empty-handed, and the arms of the orphans you crushed.
