而你們中間卻有人對他們說：『你們安心去好啦；願你們穿得暖，喫得飽』，卻沒有給他們身體上所必需的，有甚麼益處呢？

你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不给他们身体所需用的，这有什么益处呢？

你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不给他们身体所需要的，这有什么益处呢？

你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不给他们身体所需要的，这有什么益处呢？

你们只是对他们说：“安心走吧，愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不帮助他解决实际困难，这有什么用呢？

而你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱。”却不给他们身体所需用的，那有什么用处呢？

而你们当中有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖、吃得饱！”，却不给他们身体所需要的，这有什么好处呢？

爾中或語之曰、安然而往、願爾溫飽、而不予以身之所需、則何益哉、

而爾曰、安然以往、願爾得溫飽、如不以彼所需賜之、何益之有、

爾中有人謂之曰、安然以往、願爾溫飽、不以其身所需予之、何益之有、

而爾謂之曰：『安心以去、吾信汝必得溫飽；』而不給以切身所需之物、則亦何所裨益。

If one of you says to them,“ Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?

Suppose one of you says to them,“ Go. I hope everything turns out fine for you. Keep warm. Eat well.” And suppose you do nothing about what they really need. Then what good have you done?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?

and you say,“ Good bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”— but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, stay warm, and be well fed,” but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?

and one of you says to them,“ Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?

And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be[ ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what[ doth it] profit?

and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it?

and one of you tells them,“ Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;” yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?

你手若有力量行善，不可推辭、而不向應得的人行它。不可對鄰舍說：『你且去，以後再來，明天我就給你。』其實你那裏是有現成的。

主替我們放棄了性命：在這一點、我們就認識了愛了。我們呢、也應該替弟兄們放棄性命。凡有人有世上養生之資，見他弟兄有缺乏，卻向他關閉着憐憫的心腸，愛上帝的心怎能存在他裏面呢？小子們，我們愛人、別只用話語了，也別只用舌頭了，卻要用行為和真實。

因為我餓了，你們沒有給我喫；我渴了，你們沒有給我喝；我做旅客，你們沒有款接我；我赤着身子，你們沒有給我穿；我病了，我在監裏，你們沒有看望我。」那時他們也必回答說：「主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，或渴了，或做旅客，或赤着身子，或病了，或在監裏，沒有服事你呢？」那時他必回答他們說：「我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既沒有作在這些最小之一個的身上，也就是沒有作在我身上了。

愛要不裝假。惡要厭惡，善要親近。

我這不是當命令說的，我乃是要藉着別人的熱切來試驗你們的愛心是不是真的罷了。

耶穌叫門徒來，說：『我憐憫這一羣人，因為他們同我在一起已經三天了，也沒有甚麼可喫的。要解散他們空着肚子走嘛，我又不願意，恐怕他們在路上暈倒了。』

到了傍晚、門徒上他跟前來，說：『這地方是荒野；時候已經過了；請解散羣眾，他們好往村莊裏去，自己買食物。』耶穌對他們說：『他們無需乎去；你們、給他們喫。』

疲乏的人、你沒有給他水喝；饑餓的人、你把食物留着不給他。膀臂粗的人、就得土地；有體面的人就住在其中。你打發寡婦空手回去，幫助孤兒的膀臂就被折斷。
