“ But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying,‘ Pay me what you owe!’“ So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying,‘ Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told their lord all that was done.Then his lord called him in, and said to him,‘ You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me.Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him.So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”

Then he will say also to those on the left hand,‘ Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’“ Then they will also answer, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’“ Then he will answer them, saying,‘ Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;

Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.

With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.

He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
