蓋言毋淫者、亦言毋殺、爾若不淫而殺、則為干律者、

誡曰、勿淫、又曰、勿殺、爾雖無淫行而殺人、又為罹法、

蓋言勿淫者、亦言勿殺、則爾雖不淫而殺人、亦為犯全律法、

蓋誡爾毋犯姦淫者、天主也；而誡爾毋殺人者、亦天主也。爾即未犯姦淫、而犯殺人、是亦犯法而已矣。

For he who said,“ You shall not commit adultery,” also said,“ You shall not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

God said,“ Do not commit adultery.”( Exodus 20:14; Deuteronomy 5:18) He also said,“ Do not commit murder.”( Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17) Suppose you don’t commit adultery but do commit murder. Then you have broken the law.

For he who said,“ Do not commit adultery,” also said,“ Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

For the same God who said,“ You must not commit adultery,” also said,“ You must not murder.” So if you murder someone but do not commit adultery, you have still broken the law.

「你們聽過那吩咐古人的話：『不可殺人。殺人的，當遭受審判。』但是我告訴你們：所有向他弟兄發怒的，當遭受審判；罵他弟兄『廢物』的，當遭受議會的審判；罵『蠢貨』的，當遭受烈火的地獄。所以，如果你在祭壇獻上祭物的時候，在那裡想起弟兄向你懷著怨，就要把祭物留在祭壇前，先去與弟兄和好，然後再回來獻上你的祭物。你要趁著與你的對頭還在路上的時候，趕快與他和解，免得他把你交給審判官，審判官把你交給差役，你就會被投進監獄了。我確實地告訴你：除非你還清了最後的一個銅幣，否則你絕不能從那裡出來。「你們聽過那吩咐：『不可通姦。』但是我告訴你們：所有懷著慾念看女人的，就已經在心裡和她通姦了。

這是因為，那「不可通姦，不可殺人，不可偷竊，不可貪心」的誡命，或是別的什麼誡命，都包含在「要愛鄰如己」這一句話裡了。

那個人就問：「哪些誡命呢？」耶穌回答說：「不可殺人、不可通姦、不可偷竊、不可做偽證、

主耶和華啊，如果你察看罪孽，誰能站立得住呢？然而赦免在於你，好使人敬畏你。

你是知道這些誡命的：『不可通姦、不可殺人、不可偷竊、不可做偽證、要孝敬父母。』」
