Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God— who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly— and it will be given to him.

若爾中有人智慧不足、當求天主、天主乃厚賜人而不責人者、必賜所求、

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t find fault.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

For who is able to judge this great people of yours?”Now it pleased the Lord that Solomon had requested this.So God said to him,“ Because you have requested this and did not ask for long life or riches for yourself, or the death of your enemies, but you asked discernment for yourself to administer justice,I will therefore do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has never been anyone like you before and never will be again.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.Who among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him.

Now grant me wisdom and knowledge so that I may lead these people, for who can judge this great people of yours?”

“ In that day you will not ask me anything. Truly I tell you, anything you ask the Father in my name, he will give you.Until now you have asked for nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Seek the LORD while he may be found; call to him while he is near.Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, so he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will freely forgive.

Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when he puts you in charge of Israel so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.

I have filled him with God’s Spirit, with wisdom, understanding, and ability in every craft

I have also selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to be with him. I have put wisdom in the heart of every skilled artisan in order to make all that I have commanded you:

and receive whatever we ask from him because we keep his commands and do what is pleasing in his sight.

Jesus answered,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you,‘ Give me a drink,’ you would ask him, and he would give you living water.”

“ So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense.

urging them to ask the God of the heavens for mercy concerning this mystery, so Daniel and his friends would not be destroyed with the rest of Babylon’s wise men.The mystery was then revealed to Daniel in a vision at night, and Daniel praised the God of the heavensand declared: May the name of God be praised forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to him.He changes the times and seasons; he removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.He reveals the deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with him.

Then he proceeded to denounce the towns where most of his miracles were done, because they did not repent:

But I protested,“ Oh no, Lord GOD! Look, I don’t know how to speak since I am only a youth.”Then the LORD said to me: Do not say,“ I am only a youth,” for you will go to everyone I send you to and speak whatever I tell you.

“ Whoever is inexperienced, enter here!” To the one who lacks sense, she says,“ Come, eat my bread, and drink the wine I have mixed.Leave inexperience behind, and you will live; pursue the way of understanding.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

But where can wisdom be found, and where is understanding located?No one can know its value, since it cannot be found in the land of the living.The ocean depths say,“ It’s not in me,” while the sea declares,“ I don’t have it.”Gold cannot be exchanged for it, and silver cannot be weighed out for its price.Wisdom cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, in precious onyx or lapis lazuli.Gold and glass do not compare with it, and articles of fine gold cannot be exchanged for it.Coral and quartz are not worth mentioning. The price of wisdom is beyond pearls.Topaz from Cush cannot compare with it, and it cannot be valued in pure gold.Where then does wisdom come from, and where is understanding located?It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing and concealed from the birds of the sky.Abaddon and Death say,“ We have heard news of it with our ears.”But God understands the way to wisdom, and he knows its location.For he looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.When God fixed the weight of the wind and distributed the water by measure,when he established a limit for the rain and a path for the lightning,he considered wisdom and evaluated it; he established it and examined it.He said to mankind,“ The fear of the Lord— that is wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

Bezalel, Oholiab, and all the skilled people are to work based on everything the LORD has commanded. The LORD has given them wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work of constructing the sanctuary.”So Moses summoned Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled person in whose heart the LORD had placed wisdom, all whose hearts moved them, to come to the work and do it.They took from Moses’s presence all the contributions that the Israelites had brought for the task of making the sanctuary. Meanwhile, the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning.Then all the artisans who were doing all the work for the sanctuary came one by one from the work they were doing

To some we are an aroma of death leading to death, but to others, an aroma of life leading to life. Who is adequate for these things?

So he got up and went to his father. But while the son was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him.The son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I’m no longer worthy to be called your son.’“ But the father told his servants,‘ Quick! Bring out the best robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.

Later he appeared to the Eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw him after he had risen.
