若爾中有人智慧不足、當求天主、天主乃厚賜人而不責人者、必賜所求、

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t find fault.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

And now, O Jehovah my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child; I know not how to go out or come in.And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.Give thy servant therefore an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this thy great people?And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life, neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies, but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern justice;behold, I have done according to thy word: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there hath been none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.

and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

And I, behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all that are wise- hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee:

and whatsoever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

that they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his companions should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a vision of the night. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever; for wisdom and might are his.And he changeth the times and the seasons; he removeth kings, and setteth up kings; he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that have understanding;he revealeth the deep and secret things; he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not.

Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! behold, I know not how to speak; for I am a child.But Jehovah said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for to whomsoever I shall send thee thou shalt go, and whatsoever I shall command thee thou shalt speak.

Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled.Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.

But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?Man knoweth not the price thereof; Neither is it found in the land of the living.The deep saith, It is not in me; And the sea saith, It is not with me.It cannot be gotten for gold, Neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, With the precious onyx, or the sapphire.Gold and glass cannot equal it, Neither shall it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal: Yea, the price of wisdom is above rubies.The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, Neither shall it be valued with pure gold.Whence then cometh wisdom? And where is the place of understanding?Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, And kept close from the birds of the heavens.Destruction and Death say, We have heard a rumor thereof with our ears.God understandeth the way thereof, And he knoweth the place thereof.For he looketh to the ends of the earth, And seeth under the whole heaven;To make a weight for the wind: Yea, he meteth out the waters by measure.When he made a decree for the rain, And a way for the lightning of the thunder;Then did he see it, and declare it; He established it, yea, and searched it out.And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.

And Bezalel and Oholiab shall work, and every wise- hearted man, in whom Jehovah hath put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that Jehovah hath commanded.And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab, and every wise- hearted man, in whose heart Jehovah had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:and they received of Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, wherewith to make it. And they brought yet unto him freewill- offerings every morning.And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they wrought.

to the one a savor from death unto death; to the other a savor from life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight: I am no more worthy to be called thy son.But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

And afterward he was manifested unto the eleven themselves as they sat at meat; and he upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them that had seen him after he was risen.
