But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

若能以自由之妙法為鑑、凝神諦觀、念茲在茲、不惟聞道、且復實事求是、身體而力行之；則此人所行、必蒙見祐、無往而不樂矣。

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it— not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it— they will be blessed in what they do.

But suppose someone takes a good look at the perfect law that gives freedom. And they keep looking at it. Suppose they don’t forget what they’ve heard, but they do what the law says. Then this person will be blessed in what they do.

But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

But he said,“ Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like:he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty.

I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad.[ Men] Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word.I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me.How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.[ Nun] Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,“ If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.

Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?— unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

Yet she will be saved through childbearing— if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry,“ Abba! Father!”

Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.

The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.

If you will fear the Lord and serve him and obey his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God, it will be well.

Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart,who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways!

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in— who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery—

Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

I will run in the way of your commandments when you enlarge my heart!

And I heard a voice from heaven saying,“ Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”“ Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit,“ that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

and I shall walk in a wide place, for I have sought your precepts.

See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no“ root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;

To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:

And after the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.

For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being,but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.

if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.
